Publisher's summary

A prominent figure amongst New York City's fashion elite, Elena Vega is a successful businesswoman and single mother to an adorable three-year-old son, Lucas. Her love life, however, is lacking, as those closest to her keep pointing out.

At the persistent urging of her closest friend, Elena reluctantly agrees to a string of blind dates if she can find a suitable babysitter for Lucas.

Enter Allison Sawyer, a free-spirited senior at New York University.

Elena is intrigued by Allison's ability to push her out of her element, and the young woman's instant and easy connection with a normally shy Lucas quickly earns Allison the job.

After each blind date, Elena returns home to complain to Allison about her lacking suitors. As they bond, Elena begins to realize that the person possessing all the qualities she most desires might just be the woman who has been in front of her the entire time.

The vast difference between the two women's social statuses, however, may be an obstacle not easily overcome.

Loved this book!!

Just recently discovered KL Hughes. This is the 2nd book of hers that I’ve read and it did not disappoint. Loved the MCs and supporting cast. The little boy Lucas is so sweet and loving. Great chemistry between the MCs. Great story, funny and excellent narration. A must read for sure.

One you won't want to put down...

Looks can be deceiving, and there's much more to a person than meets the eye.
This book was absolutely engaging. The characters are some to wish for in books to come.
I was extremely sad that it came to an end!!
The narrator was rather delightful, and captured many character voices perfectly.
Great job all the way around!! I will search more books from KL Hughes.

Loved the Book and the Audio Made it Better

I loved this book with its quirks on dialogue and everything so when I saw the audiobook was made I had to get it. To me it made the book all the better. Kira Riley does a great job with voices (subtle differences in the characters voices). If you loved or even just liked the book, you will enjoy this narration of it!

I love this book

It’s so sweet and wholesome. 3 year old Lucas steals the show in many occasions and the Nora inquisition is hilarious.

Beautiful characters and story

I really truly enjoyed this book. The characters were personable and funny. The supporting characters pushed each other to be happy and seem to genuinely care about one another. This made me laugh and smile so many times I am a huge sucker for happy endings and it delivered. I plan to listen to it again. The narrator was wonderful too.

Good Story...Easy Listen

Really glad to listen to a story that doesn't interrupt a perfectly good love story with a ridiculous break-up. Two people making decisions based on what they want and honest feedback from each other!

It’s an early 20 year olds fairytale

The narrator did a fantastic job of capturing the voices in a distant manner. I was incredibly impressed with how she presented a three-year-old. story one is definitely a fairytale for a 20 something.

Like Lady and the Tramp but way gayer with no dogs

The most unrealistic thing about this book is that Elena's wardrobe never got raided by Allison. not even once. and we all know the lesbians love to share clothes.

Too long

I love the story line and the narrator made it came to life... the little boy eas spoil in my opinion but rightfully so. He was too cute lol. the sex was eventful and hot. i just thought that their tip toping around each other was a bit dragging.... besides that it was a great book.
