David talks about how he got his start in the film industry, and how that led him to being brought onto Pirates of the Caribbean. Along with that, he talks about the hardships of shooting on exotic locations in the Caribbean and what it was like to work with Gore Verbinski and the rest of the cast and crew of the films. In this episode, Justin concludes Season 6 of the podcast by covering Terry Rossio's original script for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. This script was written in 2012, and is a completely different version of the film that ended up releasing in 2017. Jack Sparrow searches for a place known as the Mermaid Trove. Philip Swift and Syrena return, alongside what would've been the first main female villain in the franchise, the Sea Widow. Along with sea serpents, other returning characters, a hallucination scene that has Jack Sparrow come face to face with ghosts of his past, and an epic climax, this script is a very interesting read for any Pirates fan!
