Well reported story but...

...annoying delivery. it's really a shame, because it's a compelling story and she's obviously researched it deeply. It's also well-written. However, much as we're beseeched not to complain about it, narration matters greatly in this medium. It's a performance art as much as it is anything else. If the narrator sounds low-energy and bored, the listener has to put in effort to maintain interest. I will listen, but I don't have to be happy about it.

Interesting-but her voice

is it too much to ask that this voice...be filtered? it's so distracting from this story.

cannot stand her voice

I don't know if i can continue this podcast...she jumps all over the place and her voice is grating and her cadence is like a high school valley girl.

I’m going to give it one more episode…

The reporter’s whiny voice is difficult to listen to - sounds like a middle schooler whining. But I’m interested in the content, so I’ll listen to another episode and pray she has listened to her first episode and recognizes how annoying she sounds.

Interesting

Ms Matney does a good job, it’s just that the narration is hard to listen to after a bit.

The topic is interesting and timely but her voice!

I couldn't finish, at least, not yet. I tried, I really did, but her voice is so distracting and annoying, I couldn't do it. I know she can't help it, but I couldn't do it

The reporters voice and cadence is distracting

I want to listen to this but the reporter is nasally and too slow: Almost makes it unbearable to listen to.

Great journalism, tough performance

Mandy does a comprehensive job and deep dive on these deaths, but the vocal fry is really rough to get past.

Get past her vocal fry and listen

Such an important story with lots of twists and turns- Mandy Matney has been doing original reporting on this case for years and her podcast is superior to other, similarly named podcasts - who unfairly piggyback on her hard work and research on the case.

Best podcast Ever Mandy is fabulous

I absolutely love this podcast I have been really disappointed recently with some bad podcasts not delivering what they say they are about to talk about I almost gave up until I found this one , it’s informative, sound quality is great and where it’s not the best sound Mandy tells you which is not for long, she doesn’t repeat old stuff she is informative, interesting, real, to the point, I am disappointed every time I finish each episode, I don’t even live in America but I feel as if I am there , I like Mandys voice it’s easy to listen to,but not a dull drone like some are , I’m very picky about my podcasts but this one I give 100% thumbs up , fantastic interesting listening , I’m hooked on this case but will only listen to Mandy regarding it.
