the only "weight loss" book you will ever need

If you could sum up Pleasurable Weight Loss in three words, what would they be?

your pleasure is important. it is the only reason to be alive. we have been taught to repress it for long enough. this book helped a lot. it has been the missing link in initiating all my knowledge of health that i know but have not applied.

What other book might you compare Pleasurable Weight Loss to and why?

i read woman food and desire from alexandra jamieson prior and it was a very good lead into this book. especially since this book referenced it!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the insights on what my cravings could be were eye opening. the idea that my weight gain is not a punishment for living unhealthy but only a call to help from my body to me. to enjoy my life more and be an authentic me.

The only book on weightloss you'll need.

Jena is sooooo spot on! We have been taking the wrong road to weightloss for sooo long. But now, thanks to Jena and all the women who are embracing and living in their pleasure, we are able to open up our hearts to a whole new world! One in which our life is so friggin' awesome, losing weight is not only easy, but a process of joy and bliss. Thank you, Jena!

Pleasurable audiobook

Don't let the title fool you. It is not only about weight loss but claiming a healthy approach to life based on claiming holistic values ascribed to the feminine; cherishing our bodies, opening to pleasurable connection to others and reveling in embodiment versus deprivation. All of this supports weight loss in ways that surpass so many unsustainable and strict dieting approaches but just as relevantly, pleasure moves us out of our busy minds and helps us experience all that is sacred.

Yes to Self Compassion, Love, and Care!

This author nails it. The book can be a bit cheesy at times, but it's message is loud and clear. Have a good relationship with food and yourself and everything falls into place. It sounds so easy but it's true, and it's changed my life.
I've read many other books Including Intuitive Eating, 50 Ways to Soothe Yourself Without Food, etc. All are great books as well!
I love this book because the authors voice is so kind and loving. Throughout listening to this book I found myself adopting the same loving voice towards myself.
Would definitely recommend If you are an emotional eater and are done with stupid diets!
