Publisher's Summary

With Playing God, Andy Crouch opens the subject of power, elucidating its subtle activity in our E1:AO3 and institutions. He gives us much more than a warning against abuse, though. Turning the notion of "playing God" on its head, Crouch celebrates power as the gift by which we join in God's creative, redeeming work in the world. An essential book for all who would influence their world for the good.

Important view of power

This important view of power ought to be required reading for every pastor. I didn’t care for the way the narrator tried to do accents for the Bible readings and various quotes in the book, though.

thoughts on the nature of power and flourishing

Narration was solid, though not inspired. the book is a very thoughtful and accessible series of meditations on the nature of power and its role in the cultivating of human flourishing.
