In noir master Raymond Chandler's Playback, Philip Marlowe is hired by an influential lawyer he's never heard of to tail a gorgeous redhead, but then decides he'd rather help out the redhead. Excellent as always, audio production fits the story well. Liked music between chapters, so Marlowe.

So Marlowe

I agree the music trumpets the drama, but who deserves extras more than Marlow. Chandler's literary flourish may not be as top notch in this episode as in others, yet the depth of all characters here is striking~ Marlow accepts his dangerous psyche more than ever.

Dramatic and very good

Not Chandler's finest, but Brick is always great!

I’ve lost track of how many Chandler books I’ve been through. And Brick is the perfect narrator.

I love Marlowe

The music was too loud and distracting. I love Scott Brick - this was not one of his best .,,,
