Publisher's summary

Will Montgomery is a successful professional football player and seemingly has it all. He’s not used to being told no, and certainly doesn’t take no for an answer. So when he turns his charms on his sister’s sexy rocker-chick friend Meg, he’s not only turned down, but met with open hostility, piquing his curiosity and libido.

He’s determined to show her that he’s not the arrogant jock she thinks he is, and to get her into his bed. Megan McBride is not impressed with Will Montgomery, his fat contract, fancy car, or his arrogant public persona. She doesn’t have time for a relationship, and if she’s learned anything in life, it’s that loving means losing, so she guards her heart ferociously. But she can’t deny the overwhelming attraction to the sexy, tattooed athlete, and when Will starts breaking down her defenses and grabs hold of her heart, will she be able to admit her feelings for him? Or will her troubled past cause her to lose the first man she’s ever truly loved?

Play With Me is the third book in the With Me In Seattle Series.

I love the story. The narrator was great. The characters are breathtaking. I couldn't have asked for more from author.

Sweet and enjoyable read!

This was a cute read! Will was NOT someone who interested Megan. But spending time with him, he slowly crept in behind her walls. Will was a patient man and he liked Megan. They had a genuine connection and the chemistry between them was hot! Megan’s life hadn’t been easy and Will wasn’t easily shaken. I liked their relationship, the friends and family that supported them and I found myself smiling throughout this book.

Possessive Much?

Are these books steamy and fun? Yes. Absolutely. However I have to say that the level of possessiveness of the men in these books seems pretty astronomical to me. Even before he and the woman are in a committed relationship. Are some women into that? Sure! Regardless, all of the heroines in these books are taken aback by how possessive these men are and yet they just seem to go along with it? I feel like red flags shouldn’t be ignored in any relationship. Other than that, these books are a fun listen when you want to few a bit naughty. The possessiveness just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Great story

I really like the story of Will and Meg. Will is everything you'd imagine he'd be. Too be honest I thought Meg was a bit too whinny and made Will chase her more than he needed to.
I like the narrator's voice, in other books, but her Meg voice was a bit much. Her regular voice would have been better.
Other than that great book.

This is Will & Meg's story! It didn't disappoint!

We meet Meg McBride briefly towards the end of Fight With Me. She has a brief encounter with Jules & Will where she expresses some serious animosity towards Will. In the beginning of Play With Me you quickly learn why Meg is hostile towards him. Will is one of the four Montgomery brothers who all seem to be made from the sexy gene pool. He is a hot quarterback who can be a famous arrogant butt at times but when push comes to shove, Will is actually sweet and protective. Will is essentially living his dream as a football star. He's worked hard to get where he is and life for him is all about the game. That is, until he meets Megan McBride. Meg takes him by surprise when she instantly rejects him upon their first encounter. I loved Meg as a heroine. She is a woman who loves a sexy car, has a tattoo, used to sing in a rock band. To me, she was so genuine. She is a nurse working at the Seattle Children's Hospital in the cancer ward. She has a difficult job, but she loves it and she works hard. She gave up her career as a singer/musician when her best friend Leo moved to L.A. leaving her behind. Meg has had to overcome a harsh childhood and has dealt with the people who she has loved most in the world abandoning her. She definitely has trust issues not readily opening her heart to anyone. Will challenges her and even though she had a hard time voicing her feelings for him, he was simply too hard to resist. Will pulls out all the stops and this is wonderfully romantic and, as always, gave me the warm and fuzzies and is full of goofy grin loveliness. This story is hopeful, beautiful, compelling and it’s full of humor, passion, compassion and uplifting happiness. It’s paced beautifully allowing time for the relationship to believably develop, giving Meg chance to slowly reveal the reasons behind her doubts & for Will to fully understand how to help her heal. Kristen Proby has once again provided a very romantic tale with little angst and a whole lot of holy hotness. I love the fact that we get to catch up with the other couples from the previous books and get glimpses as to the other characters for future books. I am hooked.

Fun story

What made the experience of listening to Play with Me the most enjoyable?

I liked the balance between the characters' careers. With him being a football player it helped to balance the story by making her a nurse in pediatric oncology.

A-W-E-S-O-M-E-L-Y Fun & Sexy Book - I SO LOVED IT

Any additional comments?

I Soooo want to be a part of the Montgomery family... My favorite thing about these books are the characters. These characters are so well developed that you just want to learn more and more about them. I could read about these people for freaking ever and not ever get sick of them...

Will Montgomery is one of Jules’s brothers (from Fight With Me). He plays in the NFL for the Seattle Seahawks and of course, he’s as hot as the rest of his family. We see him and all the other brothers in the previous books so I already was looking forward to his story. Towards the end of Fight With Me, we meet Meg who used to be Jules and Natalie’s good friend during college. Will is quick to hit on Meg which she turns him down, not too gently. When they meet again for Jules and Nate’s engagement party, Will is still attracted to Meg and trying to get her attention and she wants nothing to do with him. After clearing up a misunderstanding between them (the reason why she was so mad at him) Will is determined to get her to like him. They start things off slow which I loved. Meg has a strict 3 date rule which Will is determined to honor. Things between them turn serious and no matter how many times Will makes it clear that what he feels for her is the real deal, Meg is afraid to let him know how she really feels about him because the people she loves always end up leaving her. But Will isn't going anywhere and he does everything he can to make Meg believe him...

My favorite thing about this series is this dysfunction but dependable extended family that Kristen created. I love how the story focuses a certain couple but the rest of the family is still an important part of the book and the come out a lot. Not just a few glimpses here and there. Most of my favorite scenes are when the family gets together. My favorite scene ever is when the girls go out for Jules bachelorette party and get wasted. When these girls get wasted they are hilarious and start talking about orgasms and any other dirty thing they can think of... It was Hilarious. :)

Jennifer Mack's Narration was Awesome !! :)

Dawn's Review of Play With Me

I really enjoyed this book. I thought that the interaction between the main and sub characters was well written and the book well thought out. The way that the author takes pieces of the previous book and works it into the current one is interesting. You get to see the scene from another perspective.

I loved Will from the last book. He is one of the good guys that has great family values and is looking for someone to share that with. He finds that connection with his sister's friend from college, Meg. Meg's first impression of Will is not a good one. Although it's not his fault that she gets the impression that he's a insensitive jerk, it's his mission to prove to her that he's not.

The book is swoon worthy. The lengths that Will goes to to prove to Meg that he is a wonderful guy are great. I laughed and cried at the end. It was definitely worth it!

The narrator ruins this book!

The story is enjoyable, but would have been so much better if the narrator didn’t sound whiny or make the men sound like little girls.
