Strong female protaganist!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely. This book can be read as a stand alone, but is entertwined into this lovely story that spans three books, and involved this Mom, Anna, and her three daughters. I have really enjoyed all three books, and getting to know these characters.

What other book might you compare Play Right by Me to and why?

I would compare to the Country Road series by Andrea Johnston, just as sexy, and just as heartwarming!

Have you listened to any of Rita Page’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not, but I will be looking into other books she has voiced. I really enjoyed her!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES! Such a strong and heartbreaking storyline, but still an HEA!

I started this book just as soon as I finished the first two, I was so excited to be able to finish up this trilogy all in the same format! Play Right By Me was released earlier this year and to be honest, I liked this one better than the first two. Not because the others are bad, but because I just loved this story line the most! Brittany is the youngest of the sisters, and I just love how much she has grown, developed and changed since I started this series.

Play Right By Me is the third book in the Paradise Cove Series and tells the story of the youngest daughter Brittany and Chase. I'm not giving away any spoilers here but I do have to say I loved the Paradise Cove Series and Play Right By Me is amazing.

The storyline and character's were played perfectly and Rita Page did a wonderful job with the narration.

Good narrator, livily, vibrate

I found series contradictions that distracted my focus from the story. The wrapping up of the story felt forced.

Play Right By Me is Book 3 in the Paradise Cove Series and can be listened to as a standalone. The series centers around a mother and her three daughters who have made a life for themselves in Paradise Cove on the Florida coast. This is Brittany's story. Brittany, the youngest daughter, is a dancer and has come home after finding out that she is pregnant. She is heartbroken that the baby's father is not in the picture and needs the comfort and support of her family.

Ashley is in Paradise Cove to pursue the dream that has always eluded him. He wants to be a playwright. He is immediately attracted to Brittany when they meet.

When Brittany experiences the devastating loss of a miscarriage, Ashley is there to comfort her. Will their friendship become something more? Will Ashley be able to break down the walls that Brittany has erected? Listen and find out!

Play Right By Me was an entertaining story with well fleshed out characters and a beautiful setting. The narration was well done and I was transported to the sunny Florida coast. This was a very enjoyable listen and I would recommend Play Right By Me.

Paradise Cove 3

This third book which follows the Holmes family was a great continuation. Each book I have read in this series has felt like I am a friend of the family. Throughout this book, we have a more in depth storyline with Brittany. We also have a continuation of the story lines that were started in the first two books.

I recommend this series for those who enjoy investing in characters over multiple books which Patrice Wilton does a great job of extending.

Wonderful romance in an idealic scene.

I want to go to Paradise Cove. This is touching romance of a beautiful talented dancer with low self-esteem who meets a good man that wants to pursue his dream of becoming a playwright. I love the family dynamics. I voluntarily reviewed this audio book after receiving an advanced copy.

A heartwarming and emotional romance!

If you could sum up Play Right by Me in three words, what would they be?

Play Right by Me is the story of Brittany and Chase. After going through a heartbreaking breakup, Brittany seeks the comfort of her family at their cottage in Paradise Cove. Chase is visiting the cottages to pursue his dream of being a playwright. What Chase didn’t expect was to find while visiting was a beautiful woman that he wanted to be with. Can Brittany and Chase follow their dreams and find the relationship that they both want?

Play Right by Me is another adventure in the Paradise Cove island series. The story will be one that you won’t soon forget with the unique plot and great characters. This story captured my attention from the very beginning. Patrice Wilton did an outstanding job of pulling at your heartstrings throughout. Your heartstrings will be pulled on throughout. It gives you all the ooohs and aahhs that you enjoy in a good romance. This was a very thought provoking story with lots to learn from all the characters.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Rita Page did a decent job with the narration. She had a clear voice that was easy to follow. She did a great job with the voice inflections. I didn’t care for the voices that were used for a few of the characters. In my personal opinion, I would have preferred Cynthia Vail to remain as the voice with the series. I enjoyed the story but just not the narration.

With her superb writing, it is a pleasure to read Patrice Wilton’s books. I am looking forward to reading more by Patrice Wilton. I recommend the Paradise Cove series to anyone that enjoys passionate and emotional romance stories.

Summer stories

Here we are with my review for Book 3 from the „Paradise Cove” series. I would have wanted to be the book I most enjoyed, but I am still a big fan of Book 1.

„Play Right by Me” is the story of Brittany, the last of the three sisters owning Paradise Cove resort. After being deceived by her boyfriend and manager, she returns home pregnant, hoping to heal her heart next to her family. She meets Ashley Jordon Chase, who books a room for a month, hoping to find inspiration to write a play. Chase’s kind words help her go through losing her baby and so a beautiful friendship is born. Definitely this is different than the other two stories and I couldn’t wait to see if the rebellious sister would settle next to her sisters or if she will pursue her dreams elsewhere.

The relationship between our main characters starts off quite nice and normal, but when Brittany makes her intentions to sleep with him more than clear, Chase pushes her away. He is the maturity she does not yet hold. His intentions are more than honorable, while she is a wild spirit looking for a short time of fun. The image we have of her from the other two books is cleared in this last part. We are also offered an understanding of why she is or was acting like that.

To be honest, I did not like her that much. She seemed a little slutty. The guy wanted to maintain her dignity, yet she feels insulted the first time he refuses her advances. Also, I noticed the same tendency to appreciate designer clothes and good money. My entire appreciation for the way the author has built the relationship between the sisters and their mother. The constant support they always have for one another is something that should exist in any family.

The narration was quite ok, though there were moments where it felt a little overreacted. Rita Page did a great job anyway and it was nice to listen to her voice. The accent he used for Chase was also a job well done.

All in all, I think this is an ok book. As I was mentioning, the first book in the series is definitely my favorite one, but I cannot say I disliked the other two. I am going with a 3.5 (4) stars for “Play Right by Me” and I am looking forward for more stories by the same author and, why not, narrated by the same narrator.

From a fling to forever??

This was a good love story. This is a story of coming into your own after being dragged down in life and coming out the other side. Love the family in this book. Just an enjoyable read.

Poor narrration

The narrator could have at least pronounced Islamorada correctly. She also mispronounced Lorelei’s. Could have been better.
