Great Guide for how to win

I play chess with my son all the time, and like me he's never had any formal instruction, or been taught various strategies. This book is a huge help for the uninitiated. It talks various techniques and strategies on how to win at each level of your chess career. Just starting out, heres is what you do to improve yourself and counter other players.A grizzled verteran? Here's how you stay sharp and keep your opponents off balance. The book is not a novel, nor does it need to be, it simply has to tell you various steps to better your game, and it does exactly that.

Trevor's narration is clean, crisp, and easy to follow. He ennuciates everything perfectly, and you will have no problem listening to him to improve your game.

Dry and nothing new to learn here

The robotic narration and no unique tactics or tricks in this book. This is a basic book on chess.

Wasn’t useless, but was close to useless

Addresses basic principles in cursory fashion. No depth. Narrated by a computer voice. This is a waste of money and time.

Not terrible but...

There is some sound generic chess advice here but it is a far cry from the publisher description. This certainly was not written by nor for a chess expert. It could be useful for novice players though if given a few edits for accuracy.

Scam.

Very short and generalized. You'll get far more info from first few results of a Google search. The voice is automated and unpleasant.
