Decent Book

I would say this is middle ground in terms of information for starting a plant based diet. There are books that go into a lot more and a lot who don't go into as much detail as this book.

It goes through possible health benefits, shopping lists, what to expect etc.

Many of Charlie Mason's books are heavy on recipes. This has about a 20 minute chapter with several delicious recipes, but this book is more about the actual diet then recipes.

Enjoyed Skyler Morgan's narration. He has an easy voice to listen to.

Plant-Based Nutrition

A nice overview of the ins and outs of plant based nutrition. The information was provided in an easy to understand format. I did like that there were details on what foods should and should not be eaten if following this type of diet.

Better to read in my opinion

Pretty much like the title says, this is a guide to healthy eating. It isn't terribly exciting material and I think it would be better suited for reading, rather than listening. The narration is done as well as the material allows. If you want a list of ingredients to eat healthier, this would be a good book. That being said, listening made it harder to digest (pun intended) the lists.

A basic textbook of healthy eating

This book read like a text book but was full of good information for beginners. I think that it is a good start for those just starting out dieting but honestly is not a substantial way to eat for life. If you use this book to loose weight you will just gain it back when you start eating normally again, but if you stick to it to long you will be missing out on certain things your body needs. Take what you learn from this book and use it in harmony with other things. I received this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

This is more of a guide book on healthy eating. Full of useful information. Felt like a text book. Personally, I got kept stopping and starting. It delivered what it said it would. I received this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

An excellent introductory guide

I’ve been curious about a plant-based diet but having made the leap yet. This book was great for learning why a plant-based diet is so important for your health. I really appreciated the lists (click on Ch 5, though it’s actually Ch 3) of the different vitamins and nutrients we need and which foods have those nutrients. This is especially helpful if you’re low on something. I also really appreciated the tone of the book which was inclusive and not judgmental. It provided a lot of options and the healthiest recommendations for those options. It had lots of great ideas for how to start a plant-based diet. The grocery guide and recipes were so helpful! And I really appreciated how the chapters were broken up into easy 7 to 12 minute segments.

A litany of what to eat and what not to eat

This book is mostly a litany of things you should and should not eat on a plant based diet. Since it is an Audible, it is not easy to take away som good learning, since it reads in which plants you get your nutritions. I would like to see this in charts or infographics, not as something that is read to me. The message of the book however gives a realistic and soberly view of how a plant based diet can improve your health.

Change the way you think about food

This is a great audio. It teaches you how to change the outlook of what you eat and how to eat . Once you change that outlook and learn that plants and greens give you everything you need , you will feel one hundred percent better

The narrator Skylar is great. You understand everything the audio is trying to explain
