Intriguing

Pilot contains the first several episodes in the Crew Chronicles. Pilot and episodes are apt monikers because I got a Firefly sort of vibe. Or maybe a Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet sort of vibe. Although that wouldn't be a TV show, would it? Anyway, it's neither of these things, as it very much has components of its own. However, it is set in space. There is a crew of characters. They interact in interesting ways.

In this short listen, you are introduced to the world and the cast of characters. Our MC is particularly intriguing. Ace representation? You love to see it. I feel like we just got a taste of the world, and I'm left wanting to know more. But even in just this short introduction, I was entertained.

I'm giving this audiobook four stars because I truly did think it was great. What kept me from loving it is probably just that it feels incomplete. I wanted things a little more fleshed out. I suppose that's coming in the series, but I wanted it now! (Which makes me a bit ridiculous, I know.)

(I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.)
