One of the best of the series!

Wow Book 4 of this series didn't hold any punches, I mean you knew it was going to be an interesting turn of events after the kidnapping at the end of book 3 but I wasn't ready for all the volleying and back and forth with essentially the 2 factions trying to get Carlyle to finally shift. I did enjoy the quirkiness of the Ringmaster while they were all captured, not knowing what he was gonna do next. He was very manic and I hold he got what he deserved at the end but I doubt its the last we hear from him haha. I enjoyed the mind games in this one, did make for a slower progression I think in this one, but it helped build the world and conflict we haven't necessarily seen yet in this series. Helped give the reader more info about this impending war.

I loved the steam in this one, and sooooo happy my grumpy fae got his mating, even if it wasn't what he had wanted it to be at the time (I mean their lives were at stake so I get it!!). This scene in the Council's cages was waaaaaay better and hotter. Loved him with Jai and Carlyle. Loved the power changes and more weaving of the different kinds and new ones being created. The color references are fabulous, made me smile. I felt so bad for the guys who didnt get time with Carlyle while captured, they had to have been spooked and freaking out without contact. Loved when they finally were all reunited, all the bustling from place to place because of the Enforcer (dude sounds scary AF) and the adorable moments at the Lodge and other places with each of the guys getting some alone time/or shared time with her. The steam and romance in this one was fabulous 😍.

I enjoyed the ending, seeing what the group will do now they have made the first trek they needed to (trying not to give away any spoilers haha). We get to meet a character that I can tell is going to make us laugh and give this Qilin and her mates a hard time haha. Loved what the group had to do at the end so 🔥🔥🔥. Can't wait to meet more characters from this land, see where the others grew up. Already picked up and am almost finished book 5 it's THAT good/addicting.

Narration was great yet again, not much I can say about these two. They always do a fab job, really dive into these characters and provide good performances. I did notice some weird audio moments (repeats, changing of tone/volume in random places) that had been on the others previously. I will say more of that has been on book 5 so hopefully its limited like this one.

Love this series

This is one of the best RH series on audio right now. If they could just hurry up and record the rest of the series I can re listen to them all in a non stop binge.

Best Narrators

I absolutely LOVE these two narrators! The narrators are a big part of the reason I listens to the entire series! I also really enjoyed the whole story!

Duet narration + fantasy adventure continues!

Lucas Webley and Vanessa Moyen rocked this duet narration! Lucas shows mastery of a number of accents, making it clear who in the harem, or even outside the harem, is talking! Vanessa is such a good casting pick for Carlisle, she brings energy and life into the role!

Carlisle has learned a lot more about her people and what it will take to ultimately “win the war”, but she’s now fighting battles in multiple fronts. Her six guys are by her side, helping her and each other.

The harem has 6 guys and this book def picks up the spice! If you are wanting a really complex fantasy and epic adventure this may not be the one for you. This series definitely has plot and clearly defined unique characters, but it’s fun and spicy. I think it is definitely enhanced by the audio!

I love the different voices. It really sends the story over the edge! I can't stop listening! I NEED the next books.

Loving this entire series!

Things are getting dicey for the gang in this installment...but we all know our girl and her men will figure out a way to bring down the house on anyone who tries to keep them apart. The humor and steam are off the charts in this book. Vanessa Moyen and Lucas Welby have become two of my favorites narrators. I've found myself searching out books narrated by them because of how great they are! Looking forward to the next one!

Good story

This series has potential but sometimes the main characters were tstl. The plot just went everywhere at times but good action. The male narrator was excellent! The females valley girl drawl and lisp were aggravating but she did different characters well.
