Good Job

Loved the start to a new series and really looking forward to the rest The world and characters were very well presented and helped to draw you in. The Narrator did a good job bringing it all to life. I received a free copy of this audio in return for an unbiased review.

Amazing Story and Narration

Pickle Pie was different from anything I’ve listened to before, and I enjoyed the wild, sexy, and at times brutal ride of cyberpink. From the very beginning I was engrossed in the story and I can't wait to know what happens next.

Luke Rounda did an amazing job. I loved how he changed voices for each character and even adding sounds to the story was a nice touch.

Great story, narration

When I first started the book I thought I was going to hate it. The narrator isn't as animated with some of his readings as others, but the other audio engineering that went in to this was awesome. There's lots of sound effects that go with it and I got really into the book after 30 minutes. The story was unique, I really enjoyed it and I am happy I got to listen to this. I rated the performance a 4, but really it's like 4.5

The story is based off a blood sport fighter, Pickle, and her indebted armor-crafter owner. He works with Pickle to get her up to fighting shape in a sport he knows nothing about after accidentally owning her. They work together in order to both make money and keep their butts on the correct side of the ground.

I did get to listen to this for free after I was offered a credit for this book in exchange for my unbiased review.

Action packed and fun!!

I was provided a promotional copy of this book for an unbiased review. This book was amazing. I was a little weary about it judging by the cover and title but I'm glad I gave it a shot! I'm so hooked I've been looking all over for a release date for book 2 on audible. The narrator is great too. He does an excellent job voicing all the characters. If you like action packed futuristic stories this is the book for you! I highly recommend it. Great work to all involved with the making of this book.

trippy fun trip

This book was a good time around. There is very little explained in the beginning but just go with it and except the insanity. By the time you've got your bearings you'll find yourself rooting for the home team and betting on Pink.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Cyber ”pink”?! WTF?!?!

I was sent this audiobook by the author for an honest review.

Don't let my title of my review scare you. I loved this audiobook! ”Pinkie Pie” is a cyberpunk story where certain characters in the story participate in ”cyberpink”, an all-female blood sport that combines gladiatorial elements and just all around sexiness of the female fighters. This book focuses on Hector who just recently acquired the ownership of one of the fighters, Patty. I don't want to give a lot of the story away, but the story has friendship, humor, action, sexiness, and the sexiness was not overdone. It's a seedy underworld, and Hector has to go through the ranks with Patty if they are to survive.

I can't wait for the next audiobook. It was well narrated and the story like I said was great!

I really enjoyed this story

I enjoyed this story and I hope there is more coming soon. The narrator did a good job and there were also sound effects in the background. I am not normally a fan of cyberpunk but this book had me hooked and I listened to the whole book in one sitting. I really hope more people give this story a chance so that more will be written

What a blast...

I'm not a sports-lit fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I am definitely a SciFi/Fantasy genre geek, and when SF and sports intersected in Pickle Pie, I amazed myself by really liking it! There have been books like John Scalzi's Head On, or the short story, Z Ball by Will Swardstrom, and of course Seanan McGuire's stories about Roller Derby (found in her InCryptid series) that make my heart run fast, but those are the exceptions for me, not the rule... This book is one of those Glorious exceptions!
The game is informally called Cyberpinks, after the nickname for the players, the young women who play the game, and often end up bleeding (or worse) as a consequence... and all of them, cybernetically enhanced!   There's plenty of violence and gore, but it never seemed to tip too far into the excessively graphic, and I'm a relative light-weight about that stuff!
Luke Rounda proved to be a fine narrator too. I hope to hear more from him in the future!  I'm currently waiting for the next book in the series (Cherry Pie) to hit audible. It should be a blast!

Think cyber punk rollerball

Big fan of rollerball the original though this is more like the remake in spirit. Think sexy chicks, cybernetic augmentation, insane fast pace, drama, drugs, organized crimes and a guy who doesn’t care about any of it being thrust right into the heart of the game as the new owner of one of the players. When you know nothing about the world you are thrust into how do you survive and make money? Trust your player. Trust yourself and don’t change who you are. Great story can’t wait for the next chapter. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher
