A good story...

A good story with a message or two. In my opinion anyway.

Characters and plotlines aside to me this was a story of survival, cooperation, betrayal and rescue.

Eladia and Earth are under attack by a race of destroyers. The Eladians have survived fighting the destroyers for generations and protecting Earth from them but now Earth is coming under attack. The Eladians form and alliance with Earth but just as the alliance starts getting the upper hand in the fight, they betray the Eladians who withdraw to their home world leaving Earth to a slow death.

If you were an Eladian what would you do at this point? Come back after being betrayed and your allies attempted to murder you and your friends? Or would you leave Earth to a slow death that will surely come? Perhaps just stand aside in hopes Earth will somehow withstand the invasion?

You will have to read or listen to the book to find the answer :o)

This story paints a good picture of how some people treat other people good and bad. It also shows how many people especially in government are nothing more than self-serving assholes which is a fact in our world today and has been for many years.

We just need to all get along no matter our differences and treat others as we would have them treat us.
