Ignatius weaves current insider Knowledge into Prescience

The author takes a very long time to move all the chess pieces into place but eventually sculpts an important piece of Fiction into a cautionary tale that may soon become critically important Non-Fiction.

The most valuable take-away is the portrayal of the all too common reluctance of any bureaucracy to understand and accept the obvious value of the outliers in their midst.

Wonderful character development

The characters and their motivations were believable. Plot was intriguing. Narrator was well matched to audiobook.

Pretty cool to see the evolution of what is now a very accomplished fiction author.

A wonderful writing and narrating achievement couldn't stop listening

This is the best story I've read or listened to in a long time it's reassuring to we still have such an amazing author. To go along with the story the narration and sound quality is excellent it could not be narrated any better he is perfect for these characters.

Smart and sophisticated; electric

This is a terrific book; totally engaging. Ignatius’s expertise in national security and his ability to look over the horizon, are masterfully intertwined with clear and compelling writing. Bravo David!

Really liked this book. Will listen to many others by this author

Great plot and great narration. The author really knows his stuff. Great book and wonderful plot.

Character Developing

Not a bad story. A bit anti climactic at the end. Author could not help himself and had to bring his Anti Trump rhetoric into the book. Not sure why that was relevant to the story.

Slow

Lots of back story. This was like two chapters of a true Clancy novel stretched out to a whole book.

A fun read, and thought provoking

A fun jaunt through government, technology and espionage. Worth a read/listen. This is my first David Ignatius book... Will definitely explore more.
