I have been an amateur historian for decades. I had always been told such negative things about General Grant. Worth every minute. A pleasant surprise.

Battle by battle detail, too much at times. Gave me some insight of the man.

Great story of a great American

No spinning here. US Grant was all business and amazingly concise. He was also a man of great character and strength.
