Cool

I got this book as a tool to use with a new apprentice in my digital marketing firm. It's been a fabulous tool to help the apprentice learn and understand each platform and how they can fit into a marketing strategy for our clients, as well as giving worksheets and tools to practice as you learn. The author has a friendly, reachable tone, not lofty or arrogant as is sometimes the case in these types of tools. Very down to earth and easy to understand even for someone new to social media marketing like my apprentice. Would definitely recommend!

I found this book to be very informative.

I found this book to be very informative...for both beginners and those with an intermediate learner status in the realm of social media marketing. This book did an excellent job of comparing between all the forms of social media marketing, and how to acquire all the "To Do" information needed to put all the learned knowledge into marketing and action plans. I believe this book should be in the reference section of all libraries, categorized under Social Media Marketing 2019. The book could also be made into a textbook that is required reading for certain college/university courses. Finally, I would absolutely recommend Social Media Marketing 2019 Edition to those who desire to professionally advance their knowledge of social media marketing overall, and to obtain a solid footing on this topic that leads to success and monetary gain.

Creative

If you use social media, even just for your own personal enjoyment, you should understand how it works. This book is an excellent way to learn how social media actually works so that you can use it in a more secure and more productive way. If you are a marketing student, this is a MUST read book and the online courses offered by Stanford are highly recommended.

Finally!!

Finally!! I have bought several other books on the topic of social media. I have attended at least three seminars on the subject. I have actively used the internet in a business capacity since before ebay, google, and all these multi-millionaire (multi-billionaire!) social media entrepreneurs were born. Somehow the social media train left me sitting at the station, frustrated and in the dark.This book has rescued me.

I am learning so much from this book!

I am learning so much from this book! I haven't gotten all the way through it but what I've learned so far is helping me to impress the couple of clients I've taken on so far for SMM and digital marketing. Will definitely return to this workbook time and again and will check out more of Gary's stuff soon.

Resourceful

The author, Gary, provides valuable examples and details for context to see how each might (or might not) fit into your own work and customer interaction. And then he gives you specific tasks to help you determine what you should be focusing on, help you gather relevant, specific information, and begin building what will serve you best.

Great Overview; helps you know what to look for.

I am just interviewing digital marketing companies for my business, and this gave me a great understanding of what I should be looking for in a digital partner. I'm in a more traditional niche, so the part on authenticity really resonated with me.
The audio editing was a bit clipped. Could just be my bluetooth.
I just downloaded "Social Media Marketing 2019". It says it's be the same author but the names are different(?).

Loved going over the book.

Loved going over the book. It starts with a basic definition of what social media is and goes into how to build your marketing presence on the various social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn etc. It also has a local section which deals with the likes of Yelp etc..
This book is very concise and to the point and also explains all the social media jargon. All in all a well thought out and researched book. A must have for someone venturing into the field of Social media marketing

Loved it!

I don't understand a lot when it comes to anything on the internet but this was narrated in a way that made it easy to understand. The links provided in it are very helpful and useful. If my husband and I do eventually start our own business, I think that this will help out a lot with our advertising our business to get going.

I am a beginner in Social Media Marketing and found the book to be very informative and easy to understand. Links to video tutorials and "ToDo" section are very helpful too. Social Media can be quite technical and confusing, but the book keeps it fun and engaging. Thanks Gary!

I found this audiobook a quick and uplifting when it comes to dealing with different ways of using Mass Marketing Platforms in your business. The books indebts ideas and resources makes it a great tool for dealing with Mass Market Platforms such as Linkedin. A little to on the positive side when it comes to dealing with you bosses and selling them on the idea that "marketing is hard".

Changed my mind

I consider myself a beginner who really resists personal branding, and even with just getting on board with social media in general. This book, however, did an excellent job of guiding me through the processes. I appreciate that so much! I found most chapters were relevant and helpful, with timely prompts for review, and tools and downloadable sheets for exploring further.

I like Gary's sense of humor

I like Gary's sense of humor, his way of explaining things and the downloadable worksheets so I can easily apply what I'm learning. But the content is so useful that I think it's worthy of a six-star rating. He even offers personal support and extra resources if you go the extra mile for him, he'll return the favor.
I've had "mastering Personal Branding" on my to-do list since I started my own company in 2012. I've read various other blogs, articles, watched webinars, etc. but this is by far the most helpful resource I've seen--and I'm not even done with the book yet. I know there's much more eye-opening information ahead as I finish listening this book.

If you havent picked up a copy, this book will give you step by step examples and direction to get your social media up to steam. Get a copy today, don't wait!
The audiobook is very good for a basic understanding of Personal Branding. It walks you through step by step so you can understand the repercussions and help make your time using social media more profitable. This was a great!

This book changed my life

I am new to Personal Branding and I find this book to be extremely helpful I also sent a copy to a friend who has done network marketing in the past and she's very excited so I have to get this five stars!

Who is writing all these good reviews!

I couldn't even get through the first few chapters! I'm mad that the other reviews spoke so highly of this book when it just does not deliver what it promises. If you say "next level" strategies, then why waste a third of the book going over the basics? I bought this book for an injection of new branding ideas for 2019, not to hear old worn-out, flogged to death concepts! I can listen to a thousand podcasts for free. And the narrator is as boring as toast without butter and jam - and what's with all the intermittent breathing and pausing? It's all just too annoying for words. Don't waste your money. I'm returning it immediately.
