Publisher's summary

Read by the author.

Can the truth about Jesus be uncovered - even without a body or a crime scene? Join cold-case detective and best-selling author J. Warner Wallace as he investigates Jesus using an innovative and unique approach he employs to solve real missing person murder cases.

In Person of Interest, Wallace carefully sifts through the evidence from history alone, without relying on the New Testament. You'll understand like never before how Jesus, the most significant person in history, changed the world.

Features:

  • Join a cold-case detective as he uncovers the truth about Jesus using the same approach he employs to solve real murder cases
  • Marvel at the way Jesus changed the world as you investigate why Jesus still matters today
  • Learn how to use an innovative and unique "fuse and fallout" investigative strategy that you can also use to examine other claims of history
  • Explore and learn how to respond to common objections to Christianity

Detective J. Warner Wallace listened to a pastor talk about Jesus and wondered why anyone would think Jesus was a person of interest.

Wallace was skeptical of the Bible, but he’d investigated several no-body homicide cases in which there was no crime scene, no physical evidence, and no victim's body. Could the historical life and actions of Jesus be investigated in the same way?

In Person of Interest, Wallace describes his own personal investigative journey from atheism to Christianity as he carefully considers the evidence. Creative, compelling, and fully illustrated, Person of Interest will strengthen the faith of believers while engaging those who are skeptical and distrusting of the New Testament.

Accompanying images, reference lists, and case notes are available in the audiobook companion PDF download.

"Wallace has an uncanny ability to discover clues where no one else sees them. Now he tackles perhaps his toughest case ever: solving a deeply personal mystery involving his own religious faith." (Robert Dean, producer of NBC News Dateline)

"A creative and eye-opening work. You'll be captivated as Wallace takes you on a thrilling journey of discovery." (Lee Strobel, best-selling author of The Case for Christ)

"If you read this book, you will have to reckon with Jesus, not just as a historical person but as Lord and Savior. This is not your typical apologetics book!" (Alisa Childers, author of Another Gospel)

"Bring your doubts, bring your skepticism--but if you bring them in open-minded honesty...be prepared to render a shocking verdict." (Scott Hanson, host of NFL RedZone)

Solving two mysteries after the passage of time.

Saw the author on a YouTube podcast about this book; was keenly interested in it. Was happily surprised to learn he did the narration himself; excellent voice work to keep me engaged in listening the whole way through.
I enjoyed the dual investigation of the suspected murder of the missing woman told in parallel to his personal journey to construct the facts if Jesus was really all a preacher said one Sunday visiting a church. The information gathered and shared was astonishing in volume and detail. I hope it leads to others seeing the Lord Jesus Christ so and coming to him for salvation. I love to hear the love stories of how people came to Christ. I highly recommend this book for any listener be they believer, skeptic, or denier.

Eye Opening!

This was an enlightening listen. I liked how the author intermingled one of his cases with his search for the facts about Jesus Christ.
The narrator was engaging and helped to hold my interest. The accompanying PDF had all the illustrations that are referred to in the book and we're quite helpful. Overall, a very methodical and intriguing look at how Jesus Christ affected almost all aspects of life as we know it, resulting in an over abundance of proof for His existence.

Absolutely AMAZING

I loved it! The parallel between the cold case And the life of Christ brought everything to light! Christ matters. Christ is everything.

The admission of the murder by her husband brought it all to an end. The entire case was very secret to all who were watching but the light was seen at last.

Christ forgave sins. We as a species have indeed fallen and we know. We need a person who is God in every sense of the word. We need to at least love. I love Christ and He loves me

Undeniable!

The evidence that Mr. Wallace lays out in his book is a cumulative dissection of the truth that God has revealed through his son Jesus. If you are an atheist it is in your interest to take seriously the claims that the evidence suggests. If you are already a believer, it is in your best interest to have a defense for what you believe. This book is a testament to the power of God in the life of every believer.

Great Content

I was thoroughly interested in the information and the easy flow of the read. The references to real cold cases makes the story even more interesting to follow and relate. He did a great job with this.

Magnificent! So much incredible information

I really love this book, I love that a cold case homicide detective would investigate the Lord Jesus Christ,
and then find the Lord Jesus for himself.

A tie that binds

This book kept me thinking all the way through it. Not only did I learn way more than I thought I would but am eager to talk about it with people who have and haven’t studied the evidence for belief that Christianity is true. What a body of evidence!

Jesus is the Messiah and LORD!

If you are one who knows there is a god, but struggles to figure out which god/religion is true, I highly recommend this book. The research and thought that was put into this by a skeptic turned believer is absolutely amazing, and will help guide you to the truth. If you are a Christian, a believer in Jesus Christ, this book will help ground your faith, provide further clarity into who Jesus was and reveal the logic behind why He came when He came. Doubters and believers alike will gain much from the research and content of this book.
