Publisher's Summary

At 23, Poe Montgomery is going nowhere. He still lives in his father’s basement and spends most of his time tagging with his friends. When an arrest lands him in debt, Poe accepts the front desk job at Permanent Ink, the tattoo shop owned by his father’s best friend, Jericho McAslan. Jericho is nearly twice Poe’s age, but with his ink and prematurely graying hair, he quickly takes the starring role in Poe’s hottest fantasies.

Jericho is known for his ability to transform poorly designed tattoos into works of art, but he was once as aimless and misdirected as Poe. Wanting to pay it forward the way someone once did for him, Jericho makes Poe his apprentice and is determined to keep things strictly professional. Easier said than done when Poe makes his interest - and his daddy kink - abundantly clear.

Jericho can’t resist Poe or their intense chemistry for long. But between the age gap, tension with Poe’s father, and Poe’s best friend calling him a sellout, they’ll need to ensure they’re both on the same page before they can rewrite their rocky start into something permanent.

Awesome narration and wonderfull story!

Been waiting forever for something new from Kirt Graves, I just love his voice and I keep repeting his other work over and over, so now I got something new to entertain myself with! Im not usually into Daddy/Boy kink, but it wasnt bad in this one, really liked the story and the sex were really hot, Kirt Graves only added to it and made this an entertaining and fun book! Liked how the charachters grow over time and accept themself and stand up for there dreams even when things get rough! Joe and Jericho are perfect for each other and I really enjoyed listening to there story! Hope to get more from these authours in the future!

the narrator save the story

for me the story was a bit iffy. I enjoyed the point of view from Poe side more than Jethros side. I also preferred the narration that he did for Poe over any of the other characters. As for the story it wasn't the best I've heard wasn't the worst I've heard. I am intrigued and would like to see more from author about Blue and his story.

Really good story

Permanent ink is about a troubled boy name Poe. He still lives at home with his dad. His dad has had to bail him out of jail because of his behavior. His fathers best friend Jericho owns a tattoo shop, and is willing to give Poe a job. Jericho is a lot older then Poe, but sparks fly anyway. Permanent ink was very well written, and I can’t wait to read more books by both authors . As for the narrator, he did a good job, I just wasn’t crazy about him

Loved it!!!

This was my first read by these authors and did I LOVE it!! First let me say Kirt Graves thank you for your narration. You were fantastic!! I could feel the emotions of the characters you portrayed. As I was reading this I was thinking I wish this was a movie with you as the main character. So thank you for bringing these characters to life!! I felt for Poe. He had so many internal struggles he was battling. He was such a mess at the beginning but after meeting Jericho he became a whole new person. Poe’s love for his street art was beautiful but to see the change in him to find something new was even more beautiful. I loved Jericho’s take no crap attitude and even when Poe was acting like a spoiled child he didn’t give up on him. The building of their love was beautiful as well. Thank you for these beautiful characters and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Great age gap romance!

I listened to this as an audiobook and I really enjoyed Kirt Graves’ narration! He has a lovely like...rasp to his voice sometimes that is just yummy. I’d recommend this to fans of age gap romance - 17 years here! - And very, very light Daddy/boy play (as in only in the bedroom for fun playtime). Poe is a talented artist who needs some direction and guidance. His father gets him a job with Jericho, which leads to an apprenticeship. Add in the feels and the chemistry between the two? Yum! Overall I enjoyed this. I feel like I would have rather had more time with just Poe and Jericho and maybe like them driving Poe’s dad crazy lol, rather than so much revolving around Blue, Poe’s friend. Still, I enjoyed this in audio and would totally read another story set in this world - is there a story for Poe’s dad? Or Callum, Jericho’s ex? With Blue possibly?

Raven’s Attitude Problems

I have so many mixed feelings about this book. I’m not a big fan of Daddy kink but I’ve enjoyed reading a few of those. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t hit it quite right for me. Maybe it’s because of how Poe acts out.. it really made him act like a young punk kid with attitude issues. He was unmotivated, lazy and entitled. It took a while for me to warm up to him. Same with Blue, that kid. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ I felt like Jericho deserved so much more. He’s a really great guy. Nevertheless, I like the theme of the book, of giving somebody a fighting chance to get out of their own way and go for their passion. I love that it’s all about art. I enjoyed Kirt Graves’ narration. He’s always an automatic buy for me.

Kirt Graves is amazing

I've read the book twice and loved it because of the way characters grow and develop throughout the story. I appreciate how the various relationships work together to make an entertaining read...and how Kirt managed to make an age gap romance work vocally much like he did in Off the Ice. I will probably listen to this again!

enjoyed it

Did the story keep me engaged: yes Was there anything I found annoying: no - but it took me a while to warm up to Poe Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes Would I listen to it again: yes Story comment: I enjoyed this book for the most part, it had interesting characters, a good story and good pacing, but i'm not convinced the foundations of the relationship between Jericho and Poe are strong enough to last long term. Narrator comment: Kirt Graves was a great choice of narrator. He does a great job bringing all the characters in this book to life.

Decent Story

Kirt Graves is a decent narrator and I normally enjoy his performances. In this instance, however, it seemed a little wooden. It's just my opinion but it wasn't his normal performance. The story itself was good. I enjoyed it very much. Good listen.

I Enjoyed It!

The storyline between the two main characters, Poe and Jericho, was interesting. I liked seeing the growth of Poe from an aimless 23 year old to someone who wanted to change and be a better version of himself. Jericho was inspired by someone helping him when he was a young delinquent and in turn did the same for someone else. I liked the supporting characters in the book and hope they get their own story, including Blue. The narrator brought depth to the characters that kept me intrigued and wanting to continue to listen. I look forward to listening to more books from Kirt.

overall great

while there is some daddy kink it was only touched upon with name calling but not overly fetishised so could be enjoyed by those who don't find that floats their boat (such as myself). you get what you expect from the blurb. the relationship was believable and I'm intrigued what will happen next. the performance could sometimes lie flat but not often and was overall well done.

Great Story

To like this, you have to be comfortable with Age Gap and a little daddy kink (there is no daddy kink per se in this book). With that out of the way, I can say that I really really like this book. The characters are believable and their interactions too. The way Jericho kept thinking he's been more a father than a lover, you could felt his pain an doubt. The most amazing part is the development of Poe, he starts as a brat and finished as an adult, but also never cease to love his art for graffiti. I thought the graffiti thing would be shown as a bad thing in the end and that made me nervous, but it didn't happen. Oh about the daddy kink. Here you will not find any punishment or age regression os major spankings. Poe just like to call Jericho daddy in bed because he is older, and I though it was hot as h*ll. Kirt graves, as always, did a great job. I love his pace, the way he pauses between each phrase and don't go running to finish. The voices were distinct although I didn't really care for Poe's voice, but it's a particular taste, nothing wrong with Kirt's performance. His voice is always a delight to her, that's a big bonus!

The narrator makes the story

This took a while to get going, and whilst I loved Jericho from the start, it took some time for me to warm up to Poe and not just see him as a spoilt brat. The story definitely gets better as it goes along, undoubtedly made more enjoyable by Kirt Graves' performance - he encapsulates Jericho's gruff yet beautifully empathetic nature and whilst Poe grated on me for a while, it was a realistic and hard won turnaround in the end.

Great narrator and story

This was another that I had already read (twice), so I knew I loved the story. Kirt Graves does a great job of making the characters' voices clear - and not just the two main ones. Plenty of emotion - particularly from Poe, which makes sense, well-read, un-rushed, the sex scenes were sexy. Can't ask for more, really!
