Especially when he’s a member of the US House of Representatives now?

Getting sweet between the sheets with a congressman is pretty much every political roadie’s dream, right? I’m one in a crowd.

Except to this day, he swears he didn’t do it. Pursued me for months after I dumped him five years ago. Begged me to take him back.

And I almost did it. Almost. I was weak and stupid and in love a hundred years ago.

Okay. Fine. Five.

But I still have the upper hand. Second chance romance has all the emotional feels, doesn’t it?

I can’t wait to punch him in the feels.

All I need to do is sleep with him once, take some hot-and-sweaty pics of him in...delicate positions, and bring him down. That’s it. Nothing more.

Pictures first. Revenge after. And then I win.

At least, that’s how it was supposed to happen. But then I did something worse than sexting.

I fell in love with him. Again.

Too flip flop for me

I loved the first book but couldn’t get past chapter 5 in this one. Perky was just too “all over the place” for my enjoyment. Make a decision already, do you believe him or not?!! Toying with another persons life, sending mixed messages, and publicly embarrassing someone because you just “aren’t sure” is no way to treat someone.

Julia Kent kept the laughs coming! I enjoyed every second of Perky!
Erin Mallon once again did an amazing job with the narration. She brought extra umph to the story and I loved it!

Another great story in this series with a new couple to follow. I loved listening to this book (and it’s a good thing I was home and not out since I kept laughing out of no where) and am excited to see what comes next. Great writing and great narration.

Tickled to Death!!🤣😂😆

Julia Kent is a new author to me and I am tickled to death with Parker and Persephone’s second chance at a relationship!! 🤣😂😴😆 Perky is quirky, fun, sensitive and really knows how to hold a grudge!! Parker is persistent, honest, resourceful and compassionate!! Together they are a force to be reckoned with!! However, Perky almost missed out on a wonderful relationship with a magnificent man because of her stubbornness and refusal to listen to an explanation of her erroneous beliefs! Parker was obliging with anything Perky required of him for the chance to clear up the erroneous assumptions about him which resulted in his breakup with Perky. But I don’t know if I believe a person would continue trying to prove his innocence for 5 years if the person insisted on clinging to their delusions!! Erin Mallon’s narration was phenomenal as always and made the story come alive in my mind!

Fun story

Perky has been trying to live down the photo leaked to the media by her then boyfriend Parker 5 years ago. She is at her best friend, Mallory, pre-rehearsal dinner dinner and who show up, but Parker. Parker is now a congressman and happens to be friends with the groom, who wasn’t aware they blamed Parker for the photo. Parker has never stopped loving Perky and continues to deny that he was responsible for the photo getting into the media and is taking the opportunity to try to get Perky to listen and get her back. This was a fun story and was entertaining.

These books are so much fun and a great listen.

Amazingly, fun read and listen, Erin Mallon does a great job with this narration. My favorite so far. One discretionary lapse, changes the lives of those closest, and mayhem ensues. Julia Kent’s signature humor, snark and laugh out loud idioms are abundant in this newest book. There is steam romance and HEA. Another top listen and read, add this to your “top read” list.

Laugh So Hard!!!!

This was a great story! This story was full of giggles, embarrassment and scandal....top notch!!!

Perky & Parker!

Whenever I want a feel good, happy, funny listen, I go to Julia Kent. This woman can write a story just like it was an ordinary day and find all the humor in every situation. Meet Persephone, better know as Perky. Several years ago, some compromising pictures of her were posted on the web. Even though they have been taken down, most people recognize her for the famous meme! Now the culprit, her ex-boyfriend, Parker is back and he wants her back! And our fun begins. These two are explosive, both in hilarity and chemistry. Every situation made me smile and their story is full of love and hope. I love getting to see Mal, Fiona and Will too, giving us cameos of friends we know and hope to get to know better soon! It's the perfect listen to "perk" you up and make you happy.

Erin Mallon narrates this series and a better choice could not have been made. Her talent for comedy is unsurpassed and she just zones in on the personality of each character. I love her and always know I am in for a treat when she performs.

Well Then

I enjoyed this story and love the fact that characters from book 1 are mentioned throughout, but I'm confused as to why Parker never investigated who really did "the thing" that traumatized Perky, since he has always maintained it wasn't him. I mean 5 years go by and he never looked into it with all the resources he has at his disposal, considering his career.

Bad karma

It was a cute story for this couple. I loved how it all tied in and covered why everything happened.

I just didn’t like how everyone kept almost dying.

Loved how the friends showed ranchyness but funny.

On some parts i thought the narrator was a lil too whiny. But she did a good job.
