Narrator terrible

I enjoy audiobooks from multiple genres. In listening to this one, I gave up 4 chapters in. There was nothing authentic that came through the narrator’s words. I thought a book about this subject would be moving, heartfelt. The words are great, but the disconnect between the person reading and the story itself was so off-putting because it came across as forced, inauthentic, and well, sloppy, lacking quality. If I am going to spend time investing in listening, it needs to be worthwhile. This reading is definitely not, in my opinion.
