Publisher's Summary

The book that redefines leadership for our time - inspired by personal interviews with Jack Welch, Bill Clinton, George Lucas, Madeleine Albright, Pope Francis, and others.

In this insightful book, former director of the World Business Forum Eduardo Braun introduces a new vision of leadership: the new CEO - someone who puts people, cultures, and emotions first. Through thousands of hours of conversations with world-class leaders, Braun has identified five key roles leaders can use to inspire people to strive for greater success and in turn change the world for the better.

With this refreshingly human approach, you'll find it easy to integrate the five traits into your work and your life. The author shares intimate stories and practical life lessons from CEOs like Jack Welch and Tony Hsieh, who trusted their instincts, followed their passions, and shared their visions with others. Leaders at all levels will learn how to make stronger connections that get better results - and create a culture of inspiration and success.

You can only transform your organization through people. Read this book to learn from role models.

You know when you sometimes see a smart quote on social media about leadership, by some well known leader, and you tell yourself  "why haven't I thought of that before? i should read more about that guy/woman". you don't need to read long biographies, this is the one book you need to understand leadership through People and Values. It`s a pragmatic, down to earth, easy to understand Synthesis of a series of organisational culture transformations through the power of People first leadership, based on the author's interviews with business, political and even religious leaders. What i particularly enjoyed is the explanation of every principle through concrete examples passed through the author's filter of personal experience, himself being the CEO of a global organisation. Basically, proving "practice what you preach" at the various levels of the story. Secondly, and most important, this is not a copy paste guide for self improvement, this book is an invite to define your own values and beliefs and develop the organisational culture (and thus trigger success) by being true to those values and beliefs. Thirdly, the book is eyeopening about finding the power of People first leadership in the most unexpected places, and learning from it. I am not a catholic, but the Pope Francis example got all my respect. I dare say that in today`s dynamic environment, where the only constant is change, having a clear Vision and values is the strength of a leader, and Transformation is only possible through People. So if you want to be a transformational leader, this is the book for you.
