A sweet, humorous story for listeners of all ages

This was such a delight to listen to! I enjoyed reading the physical copy of Penny n Pals, and the author’s audio narration brings even more humor and charm to the story. Children will love the range of voices and the sweet story of a boisterous pup finding her forever home, while adults will enjoy the mother character’s wry asides and references to “Red Bottle Coffee” and historic San Francisco neighborhoods. It’s a quick listen that is guaranteed to add some joy to your day.

Where's Book 2?

I am So Glad I listened! This is a very sweet growing-up tale that takes place over the course of a single night-and-day. Greg, as the human boy, navigates taking care of a new puppy, and Penny, as the puppy, has an Entire New World to discover! There are just a few scary "aw" moments, and quite a LOT of laugh-out-loud moments, in such a short story! It's a lovely tale, and beautifully told. If you have little ones and access to this recording AND the bound book, you should sit them on your lap and turn the pages while Jenny reads to you. Every character is distinct, and the pace is perfect. Now I just need to know what happens next!

Such a precious, heartwarming story

I loved this story and I am an adult. I came across it and was drawn into the story, the characters, the tender moments. The narrator has a kind voice and does a magnificent job of switching in just the right amounts to a different voice for each character. You feel the emotions of the mother, the son, and the dogs. You have expectations and hopes, just like in real life. I highly recommend this story for just about anyone. I actually want to go back and listen to it again. I hope there will other adventures of Penny and her family.

Penny the puppy

I enjoyed this story so much! I could picture everything that happened. I feel this book will help parents talk about different aspects of adopting a new puppy. And children will love hearing about a boy getting his new puppy! The voices of the different characters was realistic and well done! A great job by the author and narrator! I highly recommend it. A full 5 stars
