A Murdered Heiress, Death on the High Seas, a doomed High School Reunion and Anonymous Notes keep divorced baker Jenny King on her toes in this four book murder mystery anthology.

5 stars - 'I was reading these books like eating potato chips, too fast!'

When forty four year old Jenny King moved to a remote island for a second chance at life, she didn't know it would involve murder. She's working at the Boardwalk Cafe, baking sweet treats to forget the bitter pill that is her life. Then a stranger's body washes up on the beach and her aunt is arrested. Compelled by circumstances, Jenny goes sleuthing to prove her aunt's innocence.

Solving murders soon becomes second nature for this baker turned amateur sleuth. Accompanied by her staunch friends, the Magnolias, Jenny sifts through clues and red herrings, leaving no stone unturned to catch the killer.

If you like cozy murder mysteries with friendly small towns, beach settings, yummy food and a dash of romance, you will like these latest mysteries in the Pelican Cove Series.

I loved everything about it. I could not figure who did it which was new for me. Maybe it's because I am not feeling well. The books made me forget. I just wished there would have been a recipe or two.

The virtual voice is awful. I am wondering if the author has ever listened to it herself. If it were me, I wouldn't want my hardwork dimished due to a poor reading. I love her books, but it's really hard not to get derailed with the mispronounced words. It would get it right and a few sentences later, it was wrong. Hoping this can be rectified by the time the next book is published.

The virtual voice.

Overall awesome series! I am invested in the characters and love the mysteries. Good twist and turns. Keep up the good work.

I don’t like the AI. The books are great. Love the characters.

The continuity of the story between the books is excellent. the characters 'grow' in each story. newcharacters are added and keep the story growing. I find the narration good & chuckle at rhe simulated narrators pronouncing of some words - for instance, we real people would correctly say "he is a PI , pronouncing PI as P.I. NOT cshe hired a pie. or when using the word 'lead' as in 'lead us' but pronouncing it as 'leed' us. but those are added fun for me, but could be very confusing for others.

So much enjoyment!

The story lines have been good, but AI does not cut it. There’s no emotion, it mispronounces words, half the time you can’t understand who is supposed to be talking for example, a man talking to a woman and his voice is higher than hers. The stories would’ve been much more enjoyable had a human read them.

AI 😵‍💫
