A world has been deceived, and a war has begun.... America has been invaded and stands isolated, alone, and without allies.... Lines have been drawn; sides have been chosen - brother against sister, father against daughter, parents against their children. Battles rage from the Midwest to the Great Plains as militia factions form and political frustrations turn to violence. The UN peacekeepers are hailed as liberators in the Northeast but reviled as invaders in the Upper Midwest. Four nuclear armed powers wage war.

Story
In Battlefield Ukraine, all the usual suspects are hard at work: battles over resources, money, and miscommunication. This predictive novel explores a potential war between NATO and Russia over the fate of the separatist regions in eastern Ukraine. Lines have been drawn in the sand, but how firm are they? Will the massive disinformation campaign by the Russians trick the new American administration to do their bidding? Will the new American president back down, or will the world creep one step closer toward global war?

In April 1945, the Allies are charging toward Berlin from the west, the Russians from the east. For Hitler, the situation is hopeless. But at this turning point in history, another war is about to explode. To win World War II, the Allies dealt with the devil. Joseph Stalin helped FDR, Churchill, and Truman crush Hitler. But what if "Uncle Joe" had given in to his desire to possess Germany and all of Europe? In this stunning novel, Robert Conroy picks up the history of the war just as American troops cross the Elbe into Germany. Then Stalin slams them with the brute force of his enormous Soviet army.

Story
In an engagement that many had said was inevitable, the United States and China had exchanged opening shots. While conducting a Freedom of Operations mission, a US destroyer had been sunk by Chinese forces placed on a disputed man-made island. Twelve American sailors rescued from the waters were held captive by China, claiming them to be prisoners of war. In response, the United States mounted a rescue effort while also striking at the Chinese military installation. Fearing retaliation and to be in a position of strength, both countries sortied their fast-attack submarine fleets.

Unbelievably realistic, nearly a prognostication!
This book (and series et al.) is a masterpiece. The shocking parallels between the plot and our present day turmoil is astonishing. Being 2020 and all, it wouldn't surprise me if the brilliant authors were time travelers issuing a good faith warning! Tongue in cheek, but this book is absolutely one of my new favorites, its inspiring and gives me hope that we can, and will definitively destroy the left, the socialist menace shall be obliterated and when, not if, that will be a day cherished throughout the next ten generations! Down with the left, axe them all, they are ALL enemies of our beautiful Republic and they will ALL be summarily executed, their blood will flow freely and that blood will water our withering tree of liberty and its thirst shall be refreshed and quenched. LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC AND DEATH TO THE COMMIES.

Lazy & amateur writing but interesting story...
Overall, the story is entertaining however the writing leaves something to be desired. The authors are repetitive through their use of certain writing elements to the point where it becomes extremely annoying ("boom" for explosions and whenever there is a conversation between two characters, the authors end it with the same reference to mundane chatter to end the conversations). Although the story is unrealistic, there are just enough hints of partial reality to keep readers engaged. I wish I could continue the series (it really is a fascinating story) but the annoyances have hit their peak for me. The narrator is average, certainly not an RC Bray, and could tone down the "booms" and PLEASE pronounce HELO ("hee-low", not hell-oh") correctly.

Good Story
My second review on this series. Still good. I would've liked to hear more from Seth Mitchell but maybe that's still to come.
The law enforcement role was played down too much. If the country was under attack I feel pretty confident that all critical targets--to include the NSA buildings assaulted by the Spetsnaz unit--would've been under better protection than depicted. Certainly, Police air assets and metro SWAT units would be augmenting any contract security at those buildings.
Also, I find it hard to believe that there would be any effort to have the civilian population go on with business as usual while it's leaders were being bombed or forced into their bunkers. During WWII, the entire country was galvanized, resources corralled and nearly everyone put to work.
That being stated, this is still a good yarn and I will definitely finish the series. Wish you could get another narrator though.

Feels like Red Dawn!
I was a big fan of the first book and like many others I was captivated by the eerie similar storyline to what we are going through currently. In Peace Keepers the war fully starts and the country is invaded! The books reminds me of 1984s Red Dawn where the Soviets invade America. The narrator does a great job and I am please to see he narrated the entire Fallen Empire series. James Rosone in my opinion is up there with Tom Clancy and Vince Flynn!

Good story, possible scenario whether or not one wants to admit
Enjoyable. Good story. Like that many stories and players are told. Only downside is that the U.S. and people seem to be duped at each turn and a step behind. I started to give a 3 on story mostly because I don’t want to believe we are that stupid or that we are that arrogant. On second thought I changed it to 5. History, past and present have proven we are that stupid, arrogant, or cheap.
