Patience

The Shackleford Sisters Book 5

De: Beverley Watts

Narrado por: Mark Elstob, Penelope Rawlins, Eilidh Beaton, Finlay Robertson

In this funny Regency romance series, the Shackleford sisters descend on a Regency society that doesn’t know what’s hit it…

With her four older sisters now married, it’s Patience Shackleford’s turn to take charge of her younger siblings’ education. But given that Patience’s most prodigious skill is lock picking, any abilities she passes on to her younger sisters are unlikely to provide any assistance in the drawing rooms of the genteel, especially as she has no interest in either high society, or horror of horrors… marriage. Indeed, her father the Reverend Augustus Shackleford is firmly of the opinion that the less society knows about his fifth daughter the better…

When Grace and Temperance, now married to influential members of the ton, offer to take her in hand and bring her out, both Patience and her father are entirely horrified. For once in total accord, they endeavour to hatch a plan to somehow avoid the upcoming Season.
But that’s before a chance meeting with the enigmatic and undeniably handsome Marquis of Guildford when Patience discovers that lock picking is exactly the expertise he happens to be looking for…

The Shackleford sisters

I recommend every book in this series "The Shackleford sisters". The narration is supposed to be hilariously funny and it hits the mark every time!! Grace Temperance, Faith, Hope, Patience, Charity, Chastity, Prudence, and Anthony marriage adventures are all interesting and Captivating. FANTASTICALLY FABULOUS!!!!

Excellent And enjoyed

This book had it all; love, mystery, and humor woven into the story line. Enjoyable series. Three more siblings to go.

Rollicking Historical Romance

The Shackleford series is absolutely hilarious. Each of the Reverand's daughters is more out of control than the last, and yet, we find ourselves cheering them on. How did author Beverley Watts ever dreamed up these outrageous characters whose behavior would have made them pariahs in the Regency Period? For readers, however, they are pure entertainment gold!
This book is narrated by a team of talented voice actors.

The humor

The plot and story are really good book and the whole series is just as good.

Entertaining!!!

“Thunder & turf!” I am completely enamored with Beverly Watts delightful Shackelford family.
Well written, easy listens, with wonderful narration.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, on to the next sister!
