Publisher's Summary

Even heroes stumble when walking the Path of Ascension.

After the excitement of the midterms has died down, both Alex and J are looking forward to their vacation. The happiness they find is all too fleeting. Alex is whisked off in the middle of the night, heading for a series of challenges that will push him to his very limits. J accepts his new role as an eager student...until he's forced to contend with a rival from his past.

Can the two overcome their mounting obstacles and emerge as heroes of Ascension?

Wyvern Academy is a harem cultivation series inspired by Japanese Light Novels as well as a deep love and respect for anime, kung fu, martial arts, and battle academy adventures. It contains some explicit adult content, unconventional relationships, and violence.

Excellent

Even better than the first! The main characters growth is really cool to see. If you enjoy cultivation, then this is a must read! Daniel and Rebecca did an amazing job with narration as per usual!

Love This Series!

Best combat discriminations I've ever read. I don't think he gives MMA the respect it deserves but he makes up for it with alk the fun harem scenes.

Great series BUT!

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Normally I don't read book series where there is more than one Main Character. But this book is the exception. I really loved book 1, that the two MC's that are very different from each other but still become best friends.

Alex the typical anime mc afraid to make a move on girls but great at cultivating (can't remember the name/word for the technique that he uses to enhance his senses). He lived kinda comfortably with his father even though he was bullied because his mother was from the US when his father was from Japan. Before coming to wyvern academy

And then "J" the Physical strong one that has lived a very hard life dealing with an Alcoholic military dad that often beat or did worse things to him when he was little and then dealing with Gangs m.m. and his Training Before coming to Wyvern Academy. he is strong and confident and already has 3 ladies before the first hour is Done.

In book two one of the MCs get (what feels like everything) when the other one gets nothing. In the ending of book 1, Alex is the strongest in "Qi" Cultivating and can even manifest his Qi and can use it in battle even without a rune. (But at great cost to his arm)

Then in book two Alex was whisked away so that he could get specialized training from someone that is also able to use Qi without a rune. only for him to come back to school 4 months later Crazy strong compared to J and the others. and starts acting like he is wiser/smarter/better than the other students at least when we hear his thoughts.

J in book two doesn't really change that much in power(except for getting a rune later in the book) he is able to use his Qi to strengthen his body (a little) before getting the rune but not even close to what Alex could, he does however change when it comes to his relationship/feelings with/for Eva. after a serious beating from an old friend he finally opens up to Eva and tells her everything from his past to his biggest worry of her leaving him when he shows his true self/colors to her. and that really starts his/their "real" relationship other than the physical one they had Before.

What I'm trying to say is that by the ending of book two it feels like Alex is better at everything than J. He is better in academics, Cultivation, and Fighting. so I get the feeling that Alex gets Everything from the Author(s) and J doesn't so that Alex is the "Special" one and J is just "ordinary" like everyone else.

granted it was hellish training and Alex will have a harder time becoming strong than the others that have runes would but when you read between the lines you just know he will become OP because of the different path.

I still like the book/series and will still buy the next book. even though I get the feels that The author(s) focus too much on making Alex OP/special that they have kinda forgotten about J, And I really hope that it soon becomes J turn to Grow in strength Crossing fingers for that happening in Book 3 (especially when I'm on team J and don't really care about Alex) :)

Action packed

Quite the entertaining rollercoaster ride. Hadn't expected some of the character development that occurred, but I loved it all the same.

Will be looking forward to listening to the next book.

great next installment!

alot of authors try to do the multiple mc thing and very very few pull it off this seamlessly. I personally more often then not gravitate toward one of the mcs and end up wanting to skip over the less liked mcs chapters. That 100% is not the case with this series! I can't honestly say if i like one mc over the other and that's when you know its been done right!

Really good

i liked it way more than book 1 but i still think that J's girls are boring/uninteresting except for ava and that's the second time that the authors show a character just for J to "hit rock bottom " after having an interaction with them also why are Alex's sex scenes fade to black but J's aren't? when alex has the more interesting girls
