Was ready for the series to end!

I have never seen an author create and develop characters just so she can destroy them for no reason. After the constant death and grief of the war, this book should have been glorious but it wasn’t even close. I was ready for the series to end.

She did it again!

I was weary in of starting this new series by Ms Harrod Eagles (as I was so in love wth her Morlan Dynasty series) but once I started it I was once again hooked.
This excellent author has a way of making you feel as if you are in the story as you feel more that you are seeing everything that is going on rather than just reading a story.
Another lovely touch was that Lady Overton and her son Oliver (from the Morland Dynasty series) were 'invited' to a wedding - that made me feel like I just met up with old friends.
May I add also that the narrator was very good too.
