Publisher's Summary

When you create a plan, are you overthinking the steps needed to reach the end goal? Does your research go on forever? Does your plan need to be perfect before you take action? Are the tasks so complicated that you just don't want to perform them?

If any of the above questions resonate with you, you may need to rethink your planning process. Perfectionism and procrastination are the enemies of productivity. There is no such thing as perfect and good enough gets the job done. Think about what motivates you - listening to music, a reward as you complete a task, inspirational quotes, whatever it is for you to stay on track to avoid procrastination.

You have an idea of something that needs to be done and you know you need a plan. A plan is a roadmap of sorts to help you get from point A-creating a plan, to point B-the end goal. It's important to have a plan. When you go on a road trip, you wouldn't begin your journey without mapping out the route, would you?

When you create a plan, you need to start with an end goal. Think about what your idea would look like if it were complete, that's the end goal. You may not understand what tasks need to be done to reach that end goal, so you start researching the idea.

What You Are Going To Learn:

  • How to form successful habits
  • Evil habits that hijack your progress
  • Overthinking disorder symptoms that you can spot
  • How to prevent overthinking from sabotaging your productivity
  • Overthinking can be the demise of your productivity

The idea and practice of having negative thought patterns kicked into gear for you quite early in your development. Maybe as a child, you not only heard people express negative opinions about anything or everything and others, but perhaps about you as well. Whether they really meant what they said or not doesn't matter. The fact is we learn behaviors and thought patterns so early in life that, as a rule, we don't have a conscious awareness of them...until we begin to notice their effects and begin to seek their cause. It's almost like, or maybe it's even exactly like, a form of voodoo. And like voodoo, the spell or curse only works if or while you believe it.

Read. Practice. Repeat.

I listen this book a while back, but picked it up again this evening as the next few months are going to be hectic. I needed a refresh and found this book helpful in releasing some anxiety and also putting myself in a better mental space. This is my go to book!

Useful and Inspiring

This book is just an audio guide to help you prevent your overthinking from getting any worse, and maybe minimize its effects, but to get rid of it permanently, it is best that you get help from professional psychiatrists.

This is very decent.

Fretting is like a disease which we need to cure. Whenever I start worrying about some things, it is like I can’t
fight the constant barge of thoughts. That is why I can’t thank enough to the author of this book for coming up with a
decent audio book I could listen to.
