Publisher's summary

A brand-new full-cast production of a stand-alone romance from number one New York Times best-selling author Lauren Blakely, performed by a cast of 10 all-star narrators - Jason Clarke, Emma Wilder, Andi Arndt, Shane East, Erin Mallon, Teddy Hamilton, Vikas Adam, Dan Bittner, Lili Valente, and Dion Graham.

Top three reasons why sleeping with the enemy is a bad idea....

  1. She's my fiercest rival.
  2. She's also my fiery ex.
  3. We're going up against each other in a stiff competition to win the hottest new client on the market.

And yet, I'd like to be up against the wall in a stiff competition to get her to call out my name.

Time to double down on my resistance to her tough-as-nails, take-no-prisoners, sexy-as-sin attitude. The same attitude I find irresistible.

That's a big problem, because in this race to nab the client, I run into Haven in the hotel, on the beach, in the guest quarters late at night.

Hate sex would be a terrible idea.

Except it's the complete opposite, and now we can't keep our hands off each other.

Trouble is, I'm not so sure it's hate I'm feeling anymore.

And that's the biggest reason sleeping with the enemy you're falling for is a bad idea - my job literally depends on never letting her into my heart.

It comes as no surprise to me that Lauren Blakely does it again. She has a way of giving us sweet, fun and sexy audiobooks every time. As always, I love her writing style, characters and narrators. I'm convinced she is amazing at everything she does.

In Overnight Service we get Josh & Haven's story. These two have the connection, great chemistry and you just know they belong together from the very beginning. Their story is a mix of second chance & enemies to lovers but I don't think they were ever actual enemies ;) I loved that there is attraction between competitors with out things getting to dirty. The competition for me just feeds into the serious chemistry between them. Also in this story we have a few characters that you just know will be getting their own stories soon too. This group of friends/family just keeps growing. Keep them coming!

As with all LB books, I love that there are so many characters in every book. Most from other books so it's like visiting with old friends. And my favorite thing about her writing is that the characters are mature and the drama is pretty much non-existent. For someone like me who is highly against all the unnecessary drama, Lauren Blakely's books are my comfort listens. I could listen over and over again.

The narration was perfect as always!!!!! I swear Lauren Blakely is the queen of Audio. She always has the perfect narrators for the character and all of them are always amazing. It's like she writes these books specifically for audio and that right there puts her at the top of my list.

***The Engagement Gift***

This seriously HOT and SEXY erotic novella at the end of Overnight Service was a big treat!
Lily & Finn have a crazy hot sex life to begin with but when Finn finally gets her to admit her biggest fantasy, this book caught on fire!!!!!! I love ménage books but I'm not normally big on novellas because usually erotic novellas seem more like a sex scene with no story but not this one... seriously this is full of content, emotions, fun teasing and awesome dirty talk.
Because they are engaged we get to feel the connection and love between them. This didn't feel like a dirty story as much as a small glimpse into their love life. I was so glad that the third person in this ménage was not a stranger and is filled with emotions. I can't wait for Jake's story, I hope his HEA is as hot as his engagement gift to Lily & Finn.

The narration was PERFECT!! Teddy Hamilton always sets me on fire so listening to him narrate a ménage scene... WOW!!!!!

Overnight Service

I love books like these, where the hero and heroine hate to love each other. It’s fun and interesting to see how they dance around each other and how they come to be. The banter is always my favorite thing about Lauren Blakely’s books, how she engages them and makes it so very entertaining to us.

Josh and Haven are sports agents so right there you know this book isn’t going to be boring because that isn’t a field of work you go into without personality. Which both of these characters have in spades.

The bonus scene at the end holy heck batman that was HOT. The way he loves his wife I swear to gosh it melted my heart. You can feel the love story.

The narration FANFREAKINGTASTIC. I know I know I say this a lot but when it’s true it’s true! Lauren has a great ear for getting us just the right narrator for the right character.

BOOK 4.. & YES I’M VERY.. VERY.. VERY SATISFIED :)

You cannot not give five stars to this deliciously sexy and passion-charged Lauren Blakely romance. You cannot not give five stars to all the multitalented narrators who brought the feels to life in their realistic and very entertaining duet style performances (I love you Jason). And you cannot not give this addictive enemies-to-lovers love story five stars because their journey from prickly competitive rivals to passionate lovers has humour, heart, heat and hungry undertones in every encounter. Their competitive nature brought snarky banter which fuelled the fire.. and their barbed bullets ignited the flames.. and, with each sensual encounter, the white flag of submission was raised higher and higher. Until somewhere along the way, the heated sparring mellows, battle-lines become blurred, icy emotions melt and an eventual (and inevitable) truce reveals two winners who stand proud.. and very much in love.

Worth a credit? Oh boy yes yes yes.. I preordered it, savored and devoured it in one sitting and greedily craved for more.. and LB followed the main story with a sexy little novella which was great too.

Bennet and Darcy. Forever.

Overall 4.5 stars
Performance 5+ stars
Story 4 stars

Lauren Blakely outdoes herself with each new audiobook she releases. This full cast recording is a feast for the ears and it makes the story truly engaging and entertaining. Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder lead this all star cast of narrators in this lovers to enemies to lovers romcom. It's no secret that Jason Clarke is one of my favorite narrators. I could probably listen to him recite a grocery list and still be happy. I really enjoyed the supporting narration, especially by Andi Arndt, Dan Bittner, Erin Mallon, and Teddy Hamilton. Characters from previous books make cameos and having a different narrator really helps to keep everyone straight.

I loved Haven and Josh and how intelligent, driven, and passionate they were in their jobs and in their lives. They had fantastic chemistry and the sparks really fly with these two. I loved watching them go head to head and each giving as good as they got. Haven is a force to be reckoned with and is definitely one of my favorite Blakely heroines. One of my favorite things about Overnight Service is that there is no other man or woman drama at all. Josh and Haven only have eyes for each other and even though this is a second chance romance, I appreciated that the separation wasn't filled with meaningless hookups for either of them. I did feel that the conflict and resolution was a little too convenient/overly sweet, but the epilogue was perfect for them.

An awesome bonus at the end of this audiobook is The Engagement Gift. To put it simply, it is HOT, HOT, HOT! It's sexy and erotic and Elena Wolfe and Teddy Hamilton will have you fanning yourself as you listen to this MFM novella. I'm really looking forward to more in this After Dark series.

All the Stars for All the Stars!

There is no doubt in my mind that Lauren Blakely should be the current Queen of Romance. I have yet to pick up a book (e-reader / audio) where the story line where I have wanted to put it down before the end and I love the character development into intros & individual spin-offs. Yet again, Ms. Blakely delivers with "Overnight Service" with an expansion on her character family, this time the sports reps Haven and Josh get the spotlight. In Haven we see the modern woman who has already achieved in her sports career and now is focusing on her long-term financial career as a female sports rep in a very male dominated field. No wallowing, no whoa is me moments - just honest buckle down, deal with the male jerks and rise above. The best we could all hope to be in our careers. However, there's always a hitch and with Haven it's how her career intersected with her love life and the problems that caused. Enter Josh. Oh, he could not be more perfect if we tried to write it ourselves!!!! Someone who is sarcastic, driven, funny, cocky, and most importantly - caring. Now how do we get these two strong, career driven people together? Well they have it right in the sheets - let's get them right in the office!

Ms. Blakely provides us not just the story of Haven & Josh, but brings their friends, family & co-workers into the story that brings such fullness and happiness only her novels can provide. With this full list of characters we have the glorious ear-treat of a FULL CAST reading!!!!! This is everything an audiophile could want in the world - every character plays their part and enriches the story. The performance of Emma Wilder as Haven & Jason Clarke as Josh would be great in regular duet format -- but to have Andi Ardnt voice several characters old & new, Shane East reprising his role as Jason from "Instant Gratification", Vikas Adam as two characters & so many more that it would take up too much space in the review.....ALL THE NARRATORS MAKE THIS BOOK COME TO LIFE!!! All the stars for all the stars!!!

And if all that wasn't enough -- we got a HOT Novella called "The Engagement Gift", which was released in text earlier, and I devoured that story. Now to hear it with the HAF Elena Wolfe & Teddy Hamilton -- WOWZERS! No words -- just GO LISTEN!

I loved this new enemies-to-lovers rom-com!

I loved this new enemies-to-lovers rom-com! Josh and Haven were colleagues who had a brief and very passionate affair. After a misunderstanding, Haven leaves heartbroken to start her own business. After a year of competing from afar, Josh & Haven reconnect only to challenge each other to a competition. Neither wants to lose and the way they are constantly put in close proximity makes the sparks that once were, fire up hotter than ever. Their antagonistic banter is their foreplay and their chemistry turns explosive. But Haven is still hurt and she knows she needs to be strong and not fall into old patterns to protect her heart and her reputation. I love how honorable Josh was, and so willing to be the first to open up and try to reconcile, it is so refreshing and swoony. Haven is smart and perceptive, I liked how she knew how to capitalize on her strengths with such dignity. I really enjoyed this sweet and steamy, second chance romance along with all the fun, witty banter that was performed flawlessly by this wonderful cast of narrators! They were all so perfectly cast, especially having Jason Clarke, and Emma Wilder playing the leads beautifully. All the players were so unique and expressive that I was never confused on which character was speaking. They easily made these authentic characters and this hilarious and sexy romance come to life and captured my heart.

***Bonus story!***
The Engagement Gift
Wow, this stand alone erotic novella by Lauren Blakely is so HOT and steamy, but a beautiful love story at it's core! I loved how devoted, faithful, and in love, Lily and Finn are. They are so passionate, trusting, and adventurous. Lily and Finn both had their difficult pasts and never thought they would be open to love again. Now they have found a best friend and lover in each other and want nothing more than to make each other happy. This story has Blakely's signature witty banter, and great friends, who I can't wait to learn more about, but this is an all new level of sexiness, and I loved it! The chemistry between Elena Wolfe & Teddy Hamilton as they portrayed Lily & Finn was off the charts explosive and pure perfection! I can't wait for more of Blakely's deliciously daring and dirty 'After Dark' romances!

DNF

This is the first LB book I couldn’t finish. Two hours in and I’m over it. Bored to death. Don’t like either MC. So glad I didn’t pay for this. Great cast of narrators but that doesn’t compensate for the storyline or lack thereof.

Great story, amazing full-cast narration

I'm a huge fan of Lauren Blakely. Her books are always one-click buys for me, and as much fun as her books are to read, they are even better to LISTEN TO - her audiobooks are off the charts amazing and must listens for romance fans.

In Overnight Service, we have a second-chance/rivals to lovers story. You have Josh Summers, successful sports agent, extremely competitive, charming, swooney and always on-point. Then you have Haven Delilah, former Olympian, former lover, former protege, and now his new competition.

They have been pushing each other's buttons for years, and they don't stop now. This book is filled with tons of witty banter and snark, tons of heat, and, of course, a HEA. And as a bonus, we get to revisit with some of Lauren's past leading couples as well.

I love that you get both points of view, as is typical with Lauren Blakely. And in the audio it makes it even more amazing. This audio is actually a full cast recording, which is so much fun and so different from what we typically experience with audiobooks.

Maybe It’s Me

So while I want to love these Lauren Blakely books that use a full cast of performers, not one of these books, in my opinion, have been particularly good. Not sure what the issue is for me. Yes, it’s fun to hear all my favorites reading bits snd pieces (except when Andi Arndt reads since she always sounds the same to me, no patter which part she reads). The problem seems like Blakely, knowing she’s writing for “many” writes stuff just to give them all something to say throughout the book. I don’t think any of these books have been particularly fabulous...story-wise. Non of them are page turners or do I think, “WOW” when it’s over. This one is no exception. Fortunately there is a dirty novella after Overnight Service ended because when I thought I had 20 more chapters to go II was going to bail...Clarke/East/Hamilton or not. I just thought the story of Summers and Delilah could have easily been told in 20 chapters less than it was. Personally I’d have rather just listened to the cast talking to each other about their day..

Entertaining

5 star review of Overnight Service (Always Satisfied #4) by Lauren Blakely

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive, even more so when the one we are trying to deceive are ourselves.

Haven Delilah and Josh Summers have history, both professionally and personally. This is a second chance, enemies to lovers story that had me riveted from the first to the last chapter.

Overnight Service is a fun book that ticked the boxes for me. I fell hard and fast for Josh and honestly he just melted my heart; Haven is one of those women that you could easily see as a friend, strong, determined and focused.

The dynamic between Josh and Haven was entertaining and they had me laughing throughout with their banter.

Of course the chemistry between them was smoking hot and I loved that previous characters made an appearance. I love the friendships between all the characters. The narrators did an absolutely fabulous job of bringing this story to life and they were highly entertaining and added to my listening pleasure.
