Story
Ash finds herself in the ER diagnosed with coma. She has no memory of what has happened to her, but what she can do - despite what everyone around her might think - is listen to the conversations of her visitors. One of them is the man who raped her. For Ash, there's little time to gather clues: blackouts are happening not only in the hospital but throughout California. The Russian hackers who are intent on sabotaging the power grid are trying to blackmail her boyfriend, Michael, into helping their cause. And what better way for them to do it but by kidnapping her out of the hospital?

LAPD Lieutenant Milo Sturgis has solved a lot of murder cases. On many of them - the ones he calls "different" - he taps the brain of brilliant psychologist Dr. Alex Delaware. But neither Alex nor Milo are prepared for what they find on an early morning call to a deserted mansion in Bel Air. This one’s beyond different. This is predation, premeditation, and cruelty on a whole new level. Four people have been slaughtered and left displayed bizarrely and horrifically in a stretch limousine. Confounding the investigation, none of the victims seems to have any connection to any other.

Publisher's Summary
Months after recovering from coma, Ash discovers that the man who performed her brain surgery has a questionable medical experience and a dark past, starting with his medical mission in India, 10 years ago, and ending just recently, with his wife’s suicide. Should Ash expose him at the risk of becoming vulnerable to his revenge?
In an attempt to learn more, Ash goes on a date with him. When the waitress drops a pink cellphone into her hand, she is hit by a bullet. On the cellphone are his wife’s last words: “Perhaps, you have the urge to shut me off or, at least, to ignore what I’m about to say. But listen you must, because even if you don’t believe it, you’re already much too close to danger.... Neil is my undoing. Make sure he isn’t yours.”

Who exactly IS Dr. Neil Patel?
Overdose, Book 3 in the Ash Suspense Thriller series by Uvi Poznansky is the story of Ash, having somewhat recently come out of her coma, and Dr. Patel, the man who performed the brain surgery that saved her life. Dr. Neil Patel isn't all that he seems. There are questions regarding his education and formal medical training, as well as that crazy little issue of his wife's recent death by overdose...Ash's father is also having some unexpected medical issues after seeing Dr. Patel in the ER as well. She NEEDS to figure out exactly who Dr. Patel is and what has been happening to the people in his life. It all started ten years ago with his trip to India. It's an enjoyable medical based/thriller.. Ash, with the help of her super hacker boyfriend Michael rush to unravel the mystery of Dr. Patel, with Ash getting closer to Dr. Patel than expected...
Heather Jane Hogan did a good job narrating this story. She read with unique voices for each character and was very easy to follow along to. She handled both female and male voices well also. I'd definitely listen to more books narrated by her in the future. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

Amazing Medical Thriller!
Overdose-Ash Suspense Thrillers with a Dash of Romance, Book 3 is written by Uvi Poznansky. The audiobook is narrated by Heather Jane Hogan. Ms. Poznansky has created another great attention-holding medical thriller in this series. With Ash still recovering from the events of the previous book, she is suffering from after effect of her coma. Her surgeon is not what he appears to be with a questionable background and the recent death of his wife. This string of events and actions leads Michael and Ash a mystery to unravel and a great story for the listener.
The narration by Heather Jane Hogan was amazing. Ms. Hogan created voices for the many characters that were memorable and made the audio production a true joy for the listener. The production value is of the highest quality. I heard no problems during the entire performance. There were not any detectable flaws that I was able to hear during the entire performance. I did not hear any loops, breaks, or buzzing. The production was crisp and clear. Uvi Poznansky delivered excellent audiobook production I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A terrific thriller!!!
Overdose is the third volume in the “Ash Suspense Thrillers with a Dash of Romance” series. I’ve enjoyed all three books and must say this one was just as good if not even better than the others. I’ve always enjoyed Ms. Poznansky’s writing. It is smooth, lyrical, and original.
Ash is a young college girl to whom terrible things happen, but she always comes through with guts and courage to survive, thrive, and get even with the villains. In this edition, Ash becomes a victim of a very powerful player, whose name I’ve withheld so as not to spoil the story for you.
The characters created by Ms. Poznansky are vivid and truly enjoyable. I especially love the dialog and relationship between Ash and her mother, otherwise known as “Ma.” We didn’t see much of Browney (her beloved dog) in this episode, but I’m sure he’ll be back for more in the future. Love the dog!
After surviving a harrowing ordeal in the last book, where she barely survived a vicious attack and ensuing coma, Ash now suffers from mysterious and frequent headaches with other bizarre symptoms. I encourage you to buy the book and discover the nefarious plot behind her symptoms that has far-reaching, thrilling consequences.
I read both the eBook and listened to the new audiobook, which I found extremely well done. The narrator was a pleasure to listen to.
Well done!
Highly recommended by Aaron Paul Lazar.

Exciting! Brilliantly narrated thriller
Heather Jane Hogan delivers depth and surprise to this already thrilling story. What a delight to hear her tell the story of Ash, who’s been out of her coma for a few months when headaches and dizziness require her to pay another visit to her brain surgeon, a mysterious man named Dr. Patel. Ms. Hogan, amazingly, does all the voices in this medical thriller, including Ash, the doctor, a waitress, and Ash’s boyfriend Michael, who is a computer genius and daring investigator. Ash and Michael suspect Patel of wrongdoing and decide to investigate him – which involves going into dangerous territory as Ash agrees to dine with him and attempt to question him. At the end of this “date,” something very alarming happens, and from that point we’re really off into high suspense. Together, Michael and Ash uncover the truth about the menacing and quite creepy Patel, whose history includes a 10-years-ago mysterious medical mission to India, and the recent suicide of his wife. This marvelous tale is brought wonderfully to life by Ms. Hogan, who delivers the final, terrific twist with a bang. Highly recommended, five stars!

A great addition to the previous book!
After she awakes from her coma, Ashley suffers from headaches and confusion that makes her wonder if something else is wrong with her. With lots of suspense, mystery and romance Ms. Uvi gives us a story that adds to the previous book but its not necessary to read it to get totally involved in this one. We learn some very interesting things about Dr. Pattel the Dr. that took care of Ashley when she was in a coma. We also meet her parents once more and strangely her dad is suffering from some of the same symptoms as Ashley. Michael, Ashley's boyfriend sounds kind of like a nerd but to Ashley he is what she wants. I'm not sure if there are other books in this series but I would enjoy reading more of this author's books.
I received a free code for this book from Audiobooks Unleashed to listen to it on Audible.com. This review is my own honest opinion.

This is a fantastic medical mystery! So mysterious. I stayed up all night listening! I couldn't sleep until it was over. The narrator WAS the voice of Ash! Her narration was spot on. I felt her fear. Her doubt. Her questions. Her frustration. Her humor. Her pain.

An Exciting Suspense Thriller!
Overdose is the third audiobook in the Ash Suspense Thriller series. Although it is a stand alone book, listeners will understand the nuances in the plot more fully if they have listened to the other two books in the series, especially book one. In the first book, the heroine, Ash, is treated by a doctor, who is portrayed as unremarkable and somewhat clueless. He plays a minor role in book one. In this book, number three, Doctor Patel is definitely not a dull character. The doctor has a whole other side to him that I didn't see coming! It left my assumptions in the dust.
Are you one of those people who put physicians on a pedestal or someone who tends to be somewhat mistrustful and skeptical about the medical opinions of the doctors you encounter? You may never view your doctors in the same way again!
Overdose has a fast paced storyline, which will keep listeners awaiting what will happen next. It has intricate characters and delves into what has shaped their lives. I appreciate the logic in the plot, which is well thought out. This sells the story for me and makes everything so believable. The descriptions of Indian cuisine and culture appeal to the senses. I love how the plot is so unique!
This audiobook by Uvi Poznansky is well-written! The narrator, Heather Jane Hogan, does a phenomenal job with the voices of the various characters, as well as her delivery of the story.

Suspense and excitement!
Well crafted story. Hard to stop listening! "Coming back to life . . . " Overdose (Ash Suspense Thrillers with a Dash of Romance Book 3) by Uvi Poznansky is just as advertised, a fast suspense thriller, with intriguing romance added. After the first two books in the series ("Coma Confidential" and "Virtually Lace") kept me up, I was excited to get into this one, and it's the best yet with some surprising twists. Great series!
