Publisher's Summary

Dr. Emma Steele is baffled when she finds herself dressed in mental health blues, tied to a stretcher, in her own ER.

She was hunting for a killer. She found him.

Just as he found her.

He planted evidence accusing her of his crimes.

She’s innocent, so she’ll be free soon. She has friends who’ll help.

Twice wrong.

Things can’t get any worse.

They do.

Her challenges: A community decimated by the raging opioid epidemic. A charming psychopath dealing in drugs and sex. A daughter who hates her. An ex who doesn’t. Blood, guts, and death. Betrayal. And wine.

A captivating audiobook for medical junkies. Growing suspense, breathless twists and turns, crisp dialogue, unforgettable characters, and dark ER humor. A cocktail of medicine and suspense in the vein of Gerritsen, Cornwell, and Cook.

You’ll love Overdose if you crave ER drama with split seconds separating life from death. You’ll love it if blood, drugs, and dislocated joints give you the warm fuzzies. You’ll love it if you long to see what’s inside the mind of a serial killer. Overdose: a novel with strong, flawed characters entangled in complicated relationships, life and death fights, and wine. Mostly red.

Medical Thriller!

Overdose is exactly what it says, an ER psychological thriller. This is my first listen by Rada Jones MD and I loved it. Emma Steele is an ER doctor, divorce, mother of a teenager and is fighting to save lives. Lately there has been several patients with overdoses of drugs that do not react as expected to normal medicinal procedures. Trying to determine the drug and where it is from leads to several avenues, and when one choice is internal, everyone is suspect. Add in the soap opera lives of the ER staff, as well as the murder and attempted murder of several staff, and the story is spellbinding. The story has every day issues of parenting, drug peddling and addiction, relationships and depression. It pulls us in, examining all aspects of every character. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, working through the mystery, the family trials, the career choices and coming through with a surprise ending!

Meghan Kelly gives a superb performance. This spine tingling story has many aspects to work through, and Kelly delivers. Her portrayal of Emma gave us so many emotions, from guilt to apathy to love. Her voices of characters like the spider and Taylor are spot on. It was as if I could see this story playing out with her narration. An amazing listen for us to enjoy.

Great Read

Overdose: An ER Psychological Thriller was a good read by Rada Jones MD. Emma is an ER doctor who finds herself dressed in mental health blues and tied to a stretcher. She had found a killer just as he found her too. She is now set up to take the fall for everything that he's done and there is no one there to help her but herself. This was a great read that got you into the mind of a serial killer and a town ravaged by a drug epidemic.

Overdose on this thriller

This is not your typical listen . This thriller will have listening till the very end biting your nails . It tells about what happens in the hospitals and what the doctors go through. It’s a matter of life and death. Dr Jones is strong but feminine, honest, hardworking and giving . Dr. Jones is very responsible. The author will have you on twits and turns till the end looking for the killer. The story has many layers .
Dr. Jones works at the hospital and she sees something that has her worried . There are more overdoses happening then normal. Her one purpose is to find out why and who and how .

Meghan Kelly did it again . She did justice to this audio . Her voice is unbelievable. In this thriller she brings you right into the story

It’s a Thriller just like the title promises

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book so I just couldn’t stop listening. It’s packed full of intrigue and suspense with plenty of twist and turns to keep you guessing. Meghan Kelly did an amazing job with the narration, I don’t know how she managed to give all these characters a different voice and be able to switch back and forth so easily. Great book, loved the ending. Can’t wait for the next book

Medical Thriller with a bit of drama;)

To be honest the beginning of this book is a bit slow and underwhelming but once it picks up its pace you just can’t stop listening. I have a background in the medical world and found this to be really intriguing. The twists and plots surrounding Dr Steele take what she believes to be a lonely boring existence to the high heights of a soap opera. She never would have thought her life could go in this direction allowing her to better her relations and forge new ones. I was really rooting for her at the end and am extremely happy with how it ended and I want more. Meghan Kelly does a great job with the narration and giving life to this story.
