This was different than most of the others

This was very different than her usual. Sometimes she does have a couple of things going on, but it seemed a little disjointed this time. Too many pots in the fire I still enjoyed it and it’s always good to hear the familiar characters, but maybe stick to less storylines and more in depth and suspense.

I enjoyed listening to the story, as always, lots going on. sometimes difficult to keep all the characters in place.

I liked the narrator and the plot the most but the twists and pace were good too!

Another terrific book by J A Jance. It had many twists and turns and hard to put down. I enjoyed every minutd

Too many things happening

There were too many subplots that were unrelated to the main plot. Made the story difficult to follow at times. The narrator, as always was excellent!

Interesting

I just finished “Overkill “by J.A. Jance (Ali Reynolds #18). J.A. Jance skillfully weaves two major plotlines and a charming minor thread through this installment of the Ali Reynolds series. Her storytelling makes it easy to follow the shifting dynamics—much like real life, where multiple threads unfold at once. I especially appreciated how she resurrected an event from several books ago, seamlessly advancing the timeline and reigniting the conflict involving Camille Lee. It's a satisfying blend of continuity and fresh suspense.

I enjoyed this audiobook edition, narrated by the talented Karen Ziemba. Her performance brought clarity and energy to the story’s twists and turns. At just under eleven hours (10h 51m), it was a gripping listen from start to finish.
Looking forward to the next Ali Reynolds adventure!

Great walking audiobook.

Easy to listen to. I had to walk longer so I could listen to it. I listen to audiobooks only when I walk. It had two stories going on which made the book so interesting.

Detail, detail, detail!

Great attention and accuracy in detailing not only American but also British police procedures. As ever I enjoyed this Ali Reynolds book just as much as I enjoyed the Joanna Brady and JP Beaumont series. Can’t wait for the next release - whichever series comes next!

I love the stories.

The plots for this series are great with human interest stories that keep me listening. A consistent use of the same narrator helps tie the series together.
