I'm so torn about this book.
I loved Lydia, loved her fire, loved her as an alpha. On the other hand, I dislike Fenrir more and more as he turns into the exact kind of being that tortured this woman since she was a child in their interactions. He's very childish and I liked him because he liked Lydia's alpha-ness, but then he turns around and tells her to just stop being alpha literally overnight. It's bull. Not only that, but he's vindictive, cruel, a liar, and kind of psychopathic. He turns her into his little toy instead of elevating her and setting the standard for others to treat her with respect. For someone that claims he's seen so many packs and understands the pack dynamic, he truly seems to understand nothing and makes very little attempt to make the woman he supposedly loves happy in any way shape or form, instead lording his magic over her and threatening to take it away and revert her to being a corpse instead. I understand that this kind of thing comes before the whole redemption arc, but I kind of want her to beat him bloody just once so he's not quite so cocky all the time. He needs to be taken down a peg, god or not.

Weak main character
FMC is weak. Fenris is disgusting and undeserving of a mate. I should have stopped when her mom told her to just smile more and be more obedient to an abusive male.
