Over 200 years ago, fallen gods destroyed the earth with their wars. The survivors thought they were safe in Novum, the last vestige of civilization. Liam must navigate the mysteries of the desert, but he finds quickly that he may be no match for the dangers waiting for him. Meanwhile, it doesn’t take long before Maynard begins to question how far he’s willing to go to get what he wants. Through blood and battle, both Maynard and Liam find that the road to success is dark, and the outcome may look different than they expected.

In his debut novel, M.C. Coward presents a fresh post-apocalyptic fantasy world with intriguing characters, vivid prose, and complex themes. Outland is a desertscape of ancient magic and mysterious divine forces where little is as it seems. Among the lurking horrors there is also hidden beauty and hope in unexpected places. Good story, bad narration.

I thought the story was interesting but it was hard to focus on it with the narration being so bad. MC Coward, spring for even a low level reader.
