Out of the Cabbage (CABG) Patch

In the winter of 2024, the author was diagnosed with significant blockages in four arteries. The lesions were too long to allow stenting, so he was told open heart surgery was necessary. He began reading about the procedure and the recovery but soon discovered that most of the information about long-term recovery involved statistical studies of those who had lived (and died) following the surgery, but nothing from a personal, human perspective. Seven months after his surgery, he began writing about his recovery from a layman’s point of view, thinking it might help others. This book also includes the first chapter in the author's twelfth book in his Smoke Tree Series, "There Drives Dave.."
