Publisher's Summary

Everything has been out of sync since he walked away from James. Is it possible to make it right?

Ten years ago, Morgan Weaver walked away from everything he loved - his burgeoning career as a composer, his cello, and his best friend, James. Family obligations and guilt keep him tied to a job he hates, and his dreams have collected even more dust than his instrument.

James Shepherd was left reeling when Morgan abandoned not only their dreams of writing and performing together, but their friendship. James forged on to become an internationally known musician, but he's always felt Morgan's loss and has never been able to shake the feeling that he's responsible for the other man's choice to leave everything behind.

A simple request from Morgan's sister brings the men together in a way neither of them expected, and long-denied desire bubbles to the surface overwhelming them both. Knowing it's only temporary, Morgan finds himself lost in a haze of submission, finally able to experience being at James' mercy and determined to enjoy it while it lasts. James, however, has other plans and is equally determined to show Morgan he can have all he's ever wanted - including what they have together.

Emotional!

I enjoyed this book overall. This story is emotional. The narration could have been better but because the story was good it managed to keep you entertained. This was my first book by this author and she did a great job with her characters and plot. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Loved Morgan and James!

I loved this story! This second chance love story was emotionally charged and sometimes heart-breaking, especially where Morgan gave up his dreams because of his demanding, homophobic father. I loved the way James, and Morgan's sister, stood beside Morgan when the media storm started, and the way they helped him see what really mattered to him. I was so glad that James was persistent in his pursuit of Morgan, but Morgan certainly made it hard for him. Overall fantastic love story. The BDSM was okay, but I would have liked the story just as well without it. Maybe Morgan needed to give James control in the bedroom, because he felt he didn't have power over anything else in his life.

The narration was fantastic, and I loved the men's voices! I would eagerly listen to more from this author and this narrator.

I found this book enjoyable.

I found this book enjoyable. It is a second chance romance. It would have been nice to learn a little more about James’s and Morgan’s initial breakup, but we get the idea! The relationships of Morgan and Jamie, Morgan and his sister, Jamie and Morgan’s sister felt very real. The BDSM dominant/submissive relationship was lightly portrayed.

The narration was fine, but sometimes it was difficult to distinguish who was speaking.

Great Second Chance Romance!

A great second chance that I really enjoyed. James and Morgan are wonderful characters with lots of chemistry and a strong connection even after years apart. I love them together and watching them trying to work through everything as they prepare for Morgan's sister's wedding. I really like the dominant side of James! But can James get Morgan to finally let go of the job he hates and trying to live up to family expectations in order to have true happiness and a real future.
The narrator did a good job of bringing the characters to life and I really enjoyed the authenticity of the accents.

Out of Sync

Morgan and James had dreams of becoming famous together. They both had talent and drive, but Morgan gave it all up to please his father. Years later the two are thrown together again and given another chance but will Morgan ever find a way to break free or is he still willing to give up not only his dreams but the man he loves?

I really enjoyed James and Morgan’s story. It is filled with so much emotion and angst. Morgan lives a miserable life and longs for the things that he loves the most; Jamie and music. Morgan tries hard to please everyone especially his father and because of that he has lost who he is. When Jamie comes back into his world and brings love with him Morgan finds something to live for. Can the two find a balance or will Morgan let his father destroy everything once again? The two go through so much and it was nice to see how the men fight for each other. Both men endeared themselves to me.

James and Morgan’s story moves at a good pace and narrator Dirk Diamond does a wonderful job of bringing these men to life. I was quickly lost in their story and enjoyed listening to this book.

Out of Sync

Wonderful second chance romance. I actually felt like wringing their necks a few times over stubborn, stupid decisions. But thats what makes a story good.

The narrator does a good job with voices and emotions.

Good

Out of sync is a second chance romance. Morgan and James parted ways 10 yrs ago. Morgan and James created music together, they were best friends and Morgan walked away from it all. Now Morgan’s sister is getting married and and she would love for them to play for her wedding. When they are first reunited it wasn’t great, but James persisted. The relationship was hot, like really hot. It was also sad. Morgan has always done what was expected of him, not what he wanted. It was a very well written book. I couldn’t put it down, I needed to know what happened:)
The narrator did a really good job. Overall everything was really good:)
