Publisher's Summary

Pay attention class! Here are 18 more entertaining episodes of America's most engaging English Teacher - Our Miss Brooks!Today's lessons have less to do with language and more to do with love, as the falteringly forward Connie Brooks (Eve Arden) continues her quest for the romantically reserved Mr. Boynton (Jeff Chandler). Overseeing, and undermining, our heroine is the peevish Principal Conklin (Gale Gordon). And, dutiful student Walter Denton (Richard Crenna) is always on hand - along with side-kick Stretch Snodgrass - for Miss Brooks misadventures.

Once again, these playful programs are available from the Radio Spirits Archives Collection. Listen carefully, you may be tested on this material!

Pure Entertainment

Where does Our Miss Brooks: Volume Two rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 10.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It's a tie between Miss Brooks and Mr. Boyton. Both characters are well acted and Eve Arden seems to have a natural fit into her character.

Have you listened to any of Eve Arden’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listen to these episodes at night or put them on in the background when I am working.

Any additional comments?

They just don't make quality entertainment like this anymore.

Our MIss Brooks has still got it!

If you could sum up Our Miss Brooks: Volume Two in three words, what would they be?

Funny. Cute, Charming.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Our Miss Brooks: Volume Two?

All of the characters are great. Love all the quirky plots and the old timey sense of humor.

I can’t believe it but I really like these old shows

Every show is formulaic and has the same running gags/ jokes...but it’s so pleasant to listen to. The sponsors had no idea how to market in the then new medium, so commercials will slowly drive you crazy. Every 5 minutes “ Dream Girl...Luster Cream Girl” will drive you nuts. I still can’t imagine Sam Troutman as Walter though. Second only to Fibber and Molly 👍

poor quality

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I remember the series on television and wanted to reconnect with the memories. The sound quality with this series is horrible I was only able to listen to just a few minutes. I was unable to understand much of what was said
