There's nothing unusual about a new family moving in at 91 Trinity Avenue. Except it's her house. And she didn't sell it.This international best-seller is a disturbing and addictive novel of domestic suspense where secrets kept hidden from spouses cause shocking surprises that hit home....

When Fiona Lawson comes home to find strangers moving into her house, she's sure there's been a mistake. She and her estranged husband, Bram, have a modern coparenting arrangement: bird's nest custody, where each parent spends a few nights a week with their two sons at the prized family home to maintain stability for their children. But the system built to protect their family ends up putting them in terrible jeopardy. In a domino effect of crimes and misdemeanors, the nest comes tumbling down.

Now Bram has disappeared, and so have Fiona's children. As events spiral well beyond her control, Fiona will discover just how many lies her husband was weaving and how little they truly knew each other. But Bram's not the only one with things to hide, and some secrets are best kept to oneself, safe as houses.

It certainly did hold my attention until the very last second!

This was my very first Audiobook, and I really did enjoy it. I’ll admit I peaked at some of the reviews on Amazon for the actual book before going into this and quite a few of them referenced the ending. I didn’t go any further to spoil it for myself and went into the audiobook right away because I love a good twist. This book had me waiting until the very last second for the twist, but it was well worth the wait. Excellent story that kept you guessing the entire time and the narrators did a fantastic job of portraying Fi and Bram.

COULD A SNAKE TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE ?

The subject is NOT one we like to talk about or think about, the worst case possibility of lives ruined ..... It can happen even to anyone caught up in the heated FURY of ROAD RAGE !
I really can not agree with the review that this was a boring listen !
It definitely was NOT your ordinary little sweet tooth novel !
It was very much alive , moment by moment it twisted around like a poisonous snake. It took a very ordinary family and made the listener part of it by the fact it hard two or three narrators that kept the male voices distinct from the female . NO she was not a sap ! The wife, Feonia, was a victim of an lying drinking thief that stole her life !
It should make the reader / listener think of the driving they do every day & the consequences of the lives ruined forever..
VERY ENTERTAINING right down to the last DEATH !

Long, boring, almost done and I STILL don't care!

I am so surprised at all of the rave reviews. There were at least 10 times that I wanted to stop reading, but I persevered for two reasons; the wow reviews and waiting for something meaningful to happen after all of the agonizing hours of waiting for something to happen! The storyline was so long, boorish, repetitive and convoluted, that it became frustrating to be listening to it. And the main female character; so much a "doormat" that it was nauseating. The voice for the female character was very irritatingly breathy to me, I could hardly stand hearing her any more.

Imagine how hard it is to stop listening to a book just before the ending. It certainly is for me, but I did just that, feeling as if I'd been "taken" by the author and the rave reviews.

I finished - but I wasn’t happy about it.

My problem with this is completely the story. I won’t give away any plot details, but will say this is wildly drawn out, the characters are exactly what you expect & the ‘surprise’ ending is suppose to be what makes this the next Gone Girl, instead it just seriously pissed me off. If it had been an actual book I might have thrown it. I’m still irritated. I will actively dissuade anyone I know from investing any time.

She wrote every breath and then skipped the ending

Seriously the combo of the monotone emotionless breathy delivery from the female narrator and the tediously described details of the author ... I kept reading thinking there must be a twist worth all of this. Then all the twist happened at once leading up to, wait for it, a frustratingly non existent ending

Don't do it.

I wanted it to get better, but it never happened. This book dragged and dragged, repeating what happened in a less than different narrative. I have not written a poor review before, but felt it was needed after I listened for over 10 hours.

Great Plot

Subtle unexpected twists. Glad her second book is already scheduled for a June release. (The narrator really deserves three and a half stars. Had a bit of a problem distinguishing one male voice from another.)

a good story

I read several reviews of people not very impressed with this book. But I thought it was a great story. Spoiler alert...Irony at its best.
