Publisher's summary

Thrilling and fun. A captivating and funny young-adult adventure novel.

This book instantly transports the listener to the near-future in the frozen mountains of Canada.

When their parents died beneath the surface of a frozen lake, brothers Baldr and Thor began new lives as orphans. The loss of their parents gutted them both, but years later, with comfortable homes and good friends, the brothers were thriving.

They set out on a thrilling journey to reach the top of Mount Logan. Along the way, they gain a trusted canine companion, but soon the group is in over its head as they fight the arctic conditions and an ancient power.

Who is waiting at the top of Mount Logan?

What is living in the mountain?

Not what I had hope for

This was so far off from the stories and maybe my own fantasy’s of Thor that it just was off for me. Loki is Thor uncle ? Thor is slaving a sled up a mountain with a bunch of girls ? The parents are mia for how long? Brain what? Just so far out in left field I could not see where the story could be realistic. Sorry yah it’s a story but has to sound at least believable somehow. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. Just was not for me. And I love Thor.

Unexpected

I spent most of the book thinking 'wait... WHAT? ' But it was really entertaining and I couldn't stop listening. Based off the title I wasn't really expecting the story that I got.

The plot is creative and entertaining. While the characters names come from No semythology the characters personalities and relationships to each other don't seem to. This was a bit off-putting at times.

I loved the bond between Baldr and Thor, as well as their relationships with Nala and Sophie.

My favorite character was Fennie, totally not what I was expecting from the name.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Chilly Adventure!

Interesting story! I hate cold weather lol so I was literally shivering most of time! ;)

I'm not very familiar with Norse mythology, but did see some similarities. Baldr & Thor are two brothers dealing with the loss of their parents, and after seeing something strange on Mount Logan, they go off on an adventure to discover its secrets, along with their friends Nala and Sophia.

Follow their journey through friendship, family and lots of adventure!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
