Publisher's Summary

Organic chemistry is a difficult subject. There are many topics that are overviewed in your textbook as if you are wading through mud. To help you understand the subject with ease, Organic Chemistry, a guide to help you ace and survive the course is available.

With the information, you should be able to navigate your case a little easier. You are going to build on the knowledge as you would through your organic chemistry class, which shows you an easier way to understand the topics. Often in class, you are given several topics, all in one day, that are building on each part, but leave you with many questions.

The audiobook attempts to answer the questions of relevancy, how one thing leads to another, and how to read the nomenclature/structures to understand compounds better.

Many mistakes

It was really disappointing to have someone completely butcher many of the basic pronunciations in the book that are commonplace for anyone who would be interested in reading. Furthermore, there are even sections where the reader is just practicing a word several times, as well as points where it was completely cut off unnecessarily. I don’t recommend this to anyone who is trying to get an O-Chem refresher...

This honestly shouldn’t be on audible .

Aside from this basically being a simple TTS (text to speech) read. It is not even done well. The automated narrator will FREQUENTLY drop complete words out of sentences or only read a half of a word. This leads to some serious misinformation in a subject where dropping a ending of a word can drastically change the meaning of the word (IE: IUPAC nomenclature).

Be warned if you are new to the subject of organic chemistry before picking up this audiobook.

This read, in its current form honestly is too poor quality to be on audible.

Bad for Learning Chemistry

The voice is robotic sounding. Numerous mispronounced words. The voice pauses at the wrong moments mid sentence. The information is already difficult to absorb.
