Not the typical futuristic read - remarkably relatable and thrilling!

Pleasantly surprised with the way the author wrote this in a way that puts you comfortably in this time. Thrilling suspense and twists. And Jamie Giani does a fantastic job with the narration; bringing all the characters to life and adding wonderful warmth, charm and excitement to the story! A great listen!!

Magical Dystopian Coming of Age Story

I really enjoyed this sweet story. It is a YA story geared more for teens than adults. The main character, Zoi, is 15 and we follow her through several challenges. The author did a great job blending magic, dystopia and coming of age into a compelling story. The narrator skillfully sounded authentically like the age of each of the characters (rather than an adult pretending to be 15). If you like magical dystopian YA books, then this book is for you.
