Great Writing

I very much enjoyed this sci-fi audiobook. The writing is superb. The flow and storyline is excellent. I loved the characters. There was constant action, angst, and the peril of war. There was implied sexual activity. Narrator Ginger Walton brought the characters and story to life. Her delivery was fabulous.

Entertaining space opera!

This audiobook story is about a 16 yr old princess who wants to go to school to be a doctor, but her family wants her to marry instead in order to present a “image” to other young girls on their planet. She is in love with her guard/companion, but he leaves her to go to the military academy and she gets no response from her letters to him. She meets a boy while visiting her brother at university and finds out he’s the guy her parents are setting her up to marry. Lots of things happen, like an invasion by insectoid aliens, but I don’t want to give any spoilers. This story is pretty clean with no sex scenes or foul language. It’s suitable for a teen to listen to as well. There is a HEA after a lot of turmoil. Narration was well done, but wish there had been male narrator also. Overall, a very good listen!

Not too much romance if you ask me

This book was good. It had a good story and the author is a good writer. However, I didn't think there was too much romance in it, it seemed like it was more about war. Plus I didn't care for the h. I didn't like how she treated Rein when they reconnected. MILD SPOILERS...I also didn't like how long they were apart, it was way too many years. Also, seeing as how this book is about war there were sad parts to it which is a bummer. END SPOILERS. The narrator was ok. She was too slow though so I sped her up a little. Only one pov. Could've used an epilogue.

I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
