Publisher's summary

Rye Waterman left his bride at the altar, but not before he learned she’d cheated on him and was pregnant with another man’s baby. Determined to forget it all, Rye goes on his honeymoon to a tropical island alone.

Amy Black was sent to the island to work on a special feature of a lifetime with a famous Caribbean chef who never gives interviews. The only problems: the resort lost her luggage, including her passport, the chef had a family emergency on another island, and now, a category four hurricane is barreling toward the island, and she has no way to get off.

It’s laughter and 20 questions for these two as they get lost in a vacation romance that leaves them both wishing for more. When a crisis has Amy rushing home and Rye in a tailspin for her safety, it will take a tragedy and a miracle to bring them back together.

Love this series!

I am totally in love with this series! Stacy Eaton keeps the fun coming with book three in her Heart of the Family series. It's about Rye who we met previously, breaking off his wedding due to his cheating fiance and is now on his honeymoon. He meets Amy who is away on business and the two connect right away. When things get heated though, Amy is adamant that she only wants it to last while on vacation. Is Rye willing to agree? The chemistry between these two is so strong, we can only keep rooting for this couple! I love Rye, and am so happy for him! Amy is perfect for him, but I can understand her reluctance to be in a relationship. And the heartbreaking circumstances that lead to their happiness is such irony. Add in a visit from Roan and Finley and the twist with the two of them and this book is just a pleasure! I really enjoyed it.

Narration continues by Lisa Beacom and she is knocking it out of the park. She connects to these characters and breathes life into the story. I am thoroughly entertained with her storytelling and look forward to hearing more from her.

I love this series

We have met most of the background characters In the first two books but don’t worry you won’t be bored. This one is about Rye and I’m so glad because his fiancé in the last book was just too much. I can’t get enough of this series. The author and narrator are a perfect match!

Amazing Series! Outstanding Story & Listen 🎧📚🎧

I am loving this series, it is beautiful written and plotted with original and interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are well developed, they are realistic and easy to relate to. Be sure to read and/or listen to the first two books in the series, each book is not only enjoyable and entertaining but they will help you get more out of this story. Characters from those books make appearances in this book and play a part in the storyline Stacey Eaton cleverly connected and built on. This book is Rye Waterman’s, narrowly making the mistake of his life, after an epic ending to his relationship with his cheating ex he decided to take advantage of an already booked trip to a tropical island. While checking in he has a bizarre encounter with a bubbly woman, Amy Black who thinks Rye is named after bread, she leaves laughing hysterically. Amy is visiting the island while on a work assignment, the resort lost her luggage and while they upgraded her room she needs her bags, it contained all her clothes as well as her passport. She went to to check with the desk about it when Rye was picking up his key. Turns out they were staying next to each other, they really hit it off, the chemistry between them is off the charts and they made a pact to enjoy their time there and together. Rye wanted it to be more than just an island fling but Amy’s life is complicated back home and doesn’t think it would work out. With a storm heading towards the Island they re asking everyone to leave, when Amy gets an emergency call from back home she needs to get back there ASAP, luckily they found her luggage and passport in time. When Rye went looking for Amy she was no where to be found, they were evacuating tourists but he would not leave until he knows she did. Finding out that she did he headed home but vowed to find her. I just loved how their story plays out from the laughs, the drama, the twists and turns, to the wonderful romance. Rye has found his one! Stacy Eaton, thank you for another awesome story, the amazing twists of fate and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

Lisa Beacom is a wonderful narrator and voice artist. She does a great job bringing the characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice and personality, which makes it easy to follow along. Performing the voices of all the characters, she switches roles flawlessly and with ease. She sets the perfect tone for the story, captures the drama of the story, as well as the characters emotions which is projected into her performance. She landed the humor perfectly too. She is a natural talent and an entertaining storyteller. Thank you for another awesome listen, i tis a pleasure to listen to your work.

will the read Mrs Waterman please stand up?!?

A beautiful romance listen...while this is book 3 in Eaton's Heart of the Family series and can be read as a stand alone, I really think that you get so much more if the series is read / listened to in order. Repeat characters come into play and the series just gets better and better with each read. This is Rye and Amy's story and it's a beautiful and emotion one. Both Rye and Amy have lingering hurts from past relationships - some more recent than others and while Rye is ready to put his heart of the line, Amy takes a bit more time to realize that love is worth the risk. Great narration - Lisa Beacom does a great job in changes of tone and pitch to depict different characters which really adds depth to the listen and the writing and characters are also so well done...I hope book 4 is soon to come to audio!

Orchids

This is book 3 in the Heart of the Family series. I could not wait for Rye’s story and Stacy Eaton did not disappoint. This book has some very true-life issues. I laughed, I cried, and, in the end, I sighed.
Rye decided to take his honeymoon by himself after it was revealed on his wedding day that his fiancé was pregnant with another mans child.
Amy was sent to the Caribbean Island, to fill in for another reporter, to write an article on a famous chef. In doing so she had to leave behind her sick daughter, that was on a transplant list. Things were not going as planned. Amy’s luggage was lost between the airport and the hotel, with her passport and the chef that she was supposed to interview had been called out of town. A hurricane was bearing down on the island and Amy was helpless to get off without her passport. So why not drown her sorrows in alcohol?
Rye was planning on drowning his problems in alcohol and headed out to the beach to do just that. As Rye and Amy start talking, they discover a passion that is as intense as the hurricane that is approaching. After spending two days together, Rye discovers that he is indeed in love with Amy, but Amy claims that they can not see each other when they leave the island and in fact she disappears while Rye is sleeping.
Amy’s life is complicated, with her daughter’s illness, but how she wishes that she could lean on Rye.
Without giving you any spoilers, life for Rye and Amy take a lot of twist and turns and they do find each other again. It is a wonderful story, one that I think you will love.
The Narration by Lisa Beacom is absolutely wonderful. I love listening to her. She switches for character to character such ease. If you like audio books, this is a must.

Amy and Rye!

Orchids and Hurricane Kisses by Stacy Eaton is a touching love story. I loved how Amy wanted to protect her daughter, and keep her personal life private. Amy and Rye had great chemistry, and a steamy relationship in a short period. The story has laugh out loud moments, tears, and hope. Lisa Beacom was great bringing the characters to life. The book is a standalone listen and part of the Heart of the Family series.

Sweet. Tender. Endearing. Sometimes a little ...

Sweet. Tender. Endearing. Sometimes a little embarrassment is needed to see things a little clearer. Rye could feel something was not right with his upcoming wedding. He just did not want to take the steps needed to end it. It too the observation of his brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law to up the game and make things real in a very public way.

Now with all that behind him he moves on with his day from hell and takes a much needed break from it all. He was not expecting that a laugh could change the rest of his world.

Amy was sent to do a job. A job that was derailed by a storm and the person she was sent for not being where he was supposed to be. Add on top of all that, the loss of her luggage and a sexy glimpse from her past or her future. That all depended on how she wanted to look at things. I had fun seeing what Amy and Rye got up to in the islands. The story was flowing and added another layer to the adoption of a previous character.

I enjoyed Lisa Beacom voice. I loved her pitches, tone change, inflection and just all around. I found home with her voice and this story.

This has a touchingly intense story-line ,at times

In this 3rd Book of the Heart of the Family series, It begins with an unneeded amount of bad language, sexuality, and explicitness, yet, the story-line after the first few pages was quite good. It had less explicitness than the prior book in this series and a more intense content..

This is a story of "love at first sight", but includes some twists, trauma, bitter-sweet dilemmas but fails to have a strong ending.

The characters are very well developed and the reader can feel the emotions portrayed by the characters. There were a couple of sensitive subjects which a box of Kleenex came in handy. The scenes are well described and easily visualized but a few ended too abruptly for this reader's preference.

The Narrator, Lisa Beacom, gave a very good performance in narration,

I offer a Three and a Half Stars for literary content.

The story and the mystery continues....

First of all, this is a series where each book is stand alone but there is a plot that stretches over the series and this book particularly takes over where the last one ends. Of course the protagonists in this book are different from the last. I recommend reading the books in order.

This audiobook is quite a tease. Rye goes on his honeymoon for one and meets Amy almost immediately upon arrival. She may or may not already know his brother. Additionally she also has a backstory that isn't initially revealed but it plays peekaboo with the audience from almost the beginning. I enjoyed the chemistry between Rye and Amy and the drama with the weather on their island holiday. There are on the edge of the seat moments to balance the romance. As for the growing mystery surrounding the three Montenegro children, this seems to be a little closer to being solved. Overall, this audiobook is easy and fun to listen to.

Orchids & Hurricane kisses

Rye heads on his honeymoon alone! Only to meet Amy who seems to be having issues. The two become fast friends and more until the storm approaching the island demands they leave. She gets an emergency call about her daughter and off she goes. He’s left looking, thank goodness his brother specializes in finding people. Fun story! Fantastic narration.

So Enjoyed

Lisa Beacom is perfect for this great book.

I loved this story from the start. After finding his bride to be is pregnant by someone else . Rye goes on what would have been his honeymoon. While on honeymoon he meets Amy and the two hit it off straight away and the chemistry is strong. With a hurricane fast approaching and they have to leave the island, can these two make a new relationship work or will the distance apart keep them apart...This book is a very emotional, love story
