Emotionally charged

If you have not yet read/listened to Pirate, you may want to, as it gives a good background to Patrick and Sunnie. They both standalone, but it will give you a good understanding of them both. Patrick and Sunnie met in rehab, and their relationship is solid. At least Sunnie thought so until recently. Patrick is pulling away, and she is not sure why. Could it be he doesn't love her anymore? Is he falling back into his addiction? She is not sure, but one thing she knows. She loves him and is ready to move to the next level. As Patrick watches his MC brothers have families, he is unsure what he wants with Sunnie. He isn't good parent material, he is an addict and that fear of falling keeps coming back. This is a tough, romantic, family filled listen. There are scenes that will gut you and make you feel every emotion. KL Savage has created these characters to be so real, I feel like they are my family and I am right there with them all. Each member present, being there for each other in times of need and times of happiness. I absolutely loved this story, from start to finish. And now I need more to see what is going to happen next with this amazing group.

The narration of these characters needs to be actors that can speak from their hearts. Tor Thom is Patrick. Tortured and unsure, Thom creates this strong man with a vulnerable heart. He can turn on the charisma in a heart beat, but there is always that underlying current we feel. Sunnie finally knows what she wants and we can hear it with Rachel Fulginiti's performance. She is growing and strengthening every day, though the feeling of doubt in herself when it comes to Patrick does come through. These two narrate from their souls, giving it all to us.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE PATRICK!!!

Wow, the narration of Rachel Fulginiti and Tor Thom was simply amazing. This story was a hard one but their narration just brought the characters to life. The different voices were done seemlessly and just enhanced the listening experience. WOW WHAT A BOOK!!!! I absolutely love Sunnie and Patrick, the struggles they face are insurmountable but somehow they beat the odds. This story goes into what Patrick is struggling with and how he turns from all that means everything to him. This story had so many ups and downs but I loved every word. Slingshot in the elevator had me laughing so hard. Sunnie and Patrick in the bathroom broke my heart. Sarah and Reaper wow he gave me all the feels. This book just shows what an incredible story can be told by K.L. Savage. Patrick and Sunnie are so sizzling hot!!! I truly love them as a couple and this book truly shows what love and true loyalty really is. Highly, Highly recommend this book, author and series!!!!

PATRICK HITS ROCK BOTTOM B4 RISING TO BECOME MARS

This is another book in Sunnie and Patrick’s lives where his demons, and his weakened sobriety, shake up his and Sunnie’s lives.. and it’s not for the better. You really need to have listened to Patrick’s story in Pirate to get the most out of this book (Hell the whole addictive series really).. however, their relationship struggles in this story stems from them not talking it out and not sharing what’s causing their deep troubles and insecurities. But this emotional story isn’t just about them, it touches on many members of the Ruthless Kings and their old ladies, it also moves the whole timeline on and it says a heartbreaking farewell to Poodle’s dog Lady too. Reaper has an emotionally tough time of it too. It’s not all doom and gloom though as there are babies.. and babies.. and babies being born.. or conceived.

Worth a credit? Yes, it’s emotional and very much ‘relationship’ driven.. it’s dual POV narration is good.. and it’s descriptive enjoyable plot has heart, heat, loyalty, love and a tight brotherhood of quirky misfits who stand by each other through the tear-soaked challenging times as well as the happy times.

This book had me all over the place with my feelings. I love this series. I will hate to see it come to an end.

OMG!!! What an emotional rollercoaster ride. I cried, got angry and smiled . Patrick and Sunny have been through so much but the love they have for each other is unbreakable. Sobriety has hard and the daily struggle is unbelievable. Patrick had the love and will power to change for his family. The growth between Pirate and Mars was real and a true testament of will power. As always K.L. Savage made me fall RUTHLESSLY in love with her writing. EXCELLENT story and performance.

Love This Series!

Just another great book! I laughed and cried. This book just gives more of these guys story. And it's still interesting!! can't wait for the next one!
