A Painful Listen

This is one of the worst readers I have ever heard on Audible. Not only is it clear that the reader has no clue about the meaning of the fairly technical subject matter, he makes the read far worse by using a false enthusiasm that emphasizes the wrong word in almost every sentence. He ends up sounding like a high school sports announcer calling a basketball game except the topic is butterfly spreads.

The book may or may not be any good, the reader is so bad that you really cannot tell. I was stuck on a long car ride and listened to it all. I’m quite sure that I heard him say “call” in two cases where the context made it clear that he should have said “put.”

Yikes! Stay Away!

I find this narration unlistenable

I don't have opinion of the content at this point. But the narration, OMG.
It's as if the narrator perceives this to be a fundamentally boring topic and is trying really hard to hype it up, but doesn't actually understand expository speech. So the phrasing, pacing, emphasis, and breath come across as both unnaturally forced and completely random at the same time.
