Publisher's Summary

A small arsenal of US nuclear weapons are stolen from a NATO base in Europe. The world scrambles to figure out who the culprits are and what their target is - and to stop them before they unleash hell on humanity.

With only hours left before it is too late, the President has no choice but to call in Luke Stone, the former head of an elite FBI paramilitary team. Finally getting his life back in order, and with devastating news on his own family front, Luke does not want the job. But with the newly elected female President desperate for his help, he realizes he cannot turn his back on her.

In the action-packed, international cat-and-mouse chase that follows, Luke, Ed and his former team will have to be more daring, and break more rules, than ever before. With the fate of the world at stake, Luke heads into the murky fog of war and espionage, and discovers the culprit is not who he thinks it is after all.

A political thriller with non-stop action, dramatic international settings and heart-pounding suspense, Oppose Any Foe is book four in the best-selling and critically-acclaimed Luke Stone series.

Less impressive than previous Luke Stone books

Would you be willing to try another book from Jack Mars? Why or why not?

I have read all the Luke Stone books by Jack Mars, and am willing to try another one of his books.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator needs to learn how to pronounce "Nuclear". It is NOT New-que-ler. Very distracting from the story.

Got a Refund

The narrator literally said, "bang, bang, bang" when the shots were fired. For me, the narrator killed it.

Tired story, poor narration

This is a modern day story of war and terrorism. Throughout the narration the reader says "Nucular" for "nuclear", "gernade" for "grenade"; and other common words are repeatedly mispronounced. Once or twice I could live with--repeatedly pronouncing common words incorrectly just stops the story for me. The producer should have sprung for an editor.

Wow it's good

I've read them all - every Rapp Harvath Andreas Gentry Wells thriller out there and this book is up there in the top 5 or 10. It's what you wished the other authors would stick to, firefights, espionage, political games, bullets, and dead jihadis. Great book, moves fast, very funny.

Just one thing....

I have been thoroughly enjoying this series! I cant think of anything bad to say except.... mispronunciation drives me crazy! Every time the narrator said NUCLEAR, I got totally distracted! Its NU-KLEE-ER not NU-KYU-LER..... sorry it sounds petty but it was so distracting!😬

Please get a narrator that knows English

The overall story, plots, and subplots are reasonably enjoyable. Had I read the book in print or on an electronic device it might not have been so difficult to swallow.

The narrator pronounced the English word "nuclear" as nook-u-ler over 150 times. Only George W. Bush butchered it that poorly and I liked the guy. There is no excuse for a professionally produced audiobook to have a basic fundamental word used throughout every chapter so ignorantly butchered. It is pronounced nook-clē-er. Since Jack Mars produced the audiobook I can only conclude that both he and K.C. Kelly are clueless.

The major thrust of the plot was compelling, understandable, and potentially realistic. I enjoyed that.

Another good one!

Really digging the series. Just wish Jack Mars would talk to some SOCOM guys to get the weapons and tactics right.
