Great Romantic Suspense!

This was my first Maura Burd's book. This is a great Romantic Suspense. The storyline has mystery, action, danger, suspense, and romance. Maddie and Kyle are great characters. They share an instant attraction. Maddie is a strong woman. Kyle is handsome and protective. Ashley Taylor did a great job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice, and a great male voice. I enjoyed my listening.

Great narration!

This is the 2nd book and its very good! I like suspense and it can be hard to find a truly suspenseful book w/ romance also. I liked it and this narrator!

A suspense and romance all in one. Throw in a murder and you got the perfect recipe for a good book. Narration was done very well in this book and I will definitely be diving into the sequel next.

This one is a bit predictable but still good. The way Mattie takes charge of her life is inspiring. The love story goes fast but it can be realistic. Good luck trying to find the bad guy before it is revealed!

Exhilarating Characters in this Steamy Book!

Wow!!! This is the first in the 2 book series. I love the Mattie character and hot Kyle. Captivating story and plot! Great narration by Ashley Taylor.

Good story. Great narration.

I’m a big fan of Ashley Taylor’s narration. She makes the story. The story was good and kept me entertained. The one thing I wasn’t a fan of was all the male characters. It was kind of hard to keep track of them and how they tied together.

Infuriating, but it could just be me.

I liked the narrator but found the story lacking. I kept getting so upset with the female in the book holding back information and the the hero started to do the same thing. It was making me mad to the point I almost stopped listening. Again it may just be me.

Not knowing exactly when this story was supposed to have taken place made a few things a little odd to me. like what single woman has both a land line and a cell phone these days? and Maddie was not my favorite, she was downright stupid at times, I just wanted to shake my head at her. so the story itself had some moments that I didn't care for, but overall wasn't bad. there was a lot of action that I don't usually go for, I'm typically just a plain romance reader, but the suspense quality was actually a nice change of pace.

I've listened to this narator before and enjoyed other books more. this one, there was almost a tinny quality to the audio that was distracting at times. it's hard to explain. Not a problem with the narator, but of the production quality.

Enjoyable

This is a good story that kept me engaged from the first chapter. The narration was good and did justice to the story. My only negatives was the insta love which was too fast even for me and Mattie’s actions also annoyed me at times.

There was romance, some suspense and mystery which I found interesting.

ONLY FOR YOU is a stand-alone story of romantic suspense, terror, and action.

I grew up in southwestern Pennsylvania. That’s why I chose this audiobook; I was looking forward to descriptions of a town that I had visited in my youth. I was disappointed in that regard.

On the other hand, the suspense and the story were amazingly twisted and kept me entertained, engaged, and on the edge of my seat.

I loved how the relationships were intertwined. Life is oddly unpredictable and strangely, interwoven entanglements do happen every day. Masterfully written to expand the suspense and mystery.

Narration: Ashley Taylor did a beautiful job of describing Pittsburgh and the terrifying predicament Mattie was experiencing. The only mispronunciation I noted was Monongahela River, one of the famous Three Rivers of Pittsburgh.

Enjoyable

This author is new to be and I really enjoyed the book. The narrator did a very good job.

Stronger than she thought

Mattie is trudging through life on her own when she meets Kyle online at a poets site. They instantly hit it off and finally decide to meet. The sparks fly and they are both falling for each other. Kyle has family issues he is dealing with and unbeknown to Mattie those issues will involve her as well.

This story is a sweet love story that has some twists. Strange things are happening and the question is who is behind them.

The narration was good. This narrator did a good job with playing all the characters.

I received a code to listen and review and give my honest opinion. I give it a strong 3. I liked it, not loved, but it's a good story.

Excellent adventure

This book had it all. Fantastic storyline with so much action. I couldn’t stop listening. Great characters with lots of chemistry. Excellent narration from Ashley.

Absolutely fabulous!

This was the first book that I’ve listen to by Maura Burd and is is a fabulous story. The story is a shorter but packed with an excellent storyline. It has murder, corruption, suspense, rapists, cheating spouses, intrigue, violence and abnormal (dysfunctional)family. This is a wonderfully well written story that will have you on the edge of your sit wondering what will happen next. This book will have you suspecting a lot of the characters.
This writer has a way of building up the anticipation of the story.
The narrator bring the characters to life with her narrations of this story. I think she does a fantastic job with the telling of this storyline and I’m looking forward to more by this narrator! Fabulous story with a fabulous narration!! I definitely recommend this book.
My only regret is that it isn’t a longer book.

This story will have you on the edge of your seat wondering if you can trust anyone. Mattie is quiet and has not dated in a while when her boss suggests she check out a website. She meets a man that will in the end change her life. Kyle is stuck in life caring for his extended family and its a full time job. He is kind of at their beck and call. When surrounded by this bunch that you keep giving and not getting anything back something bad is bound to happen. Nice Narration by Ashley Taylor.

Great Suspense!

Only for You by Maura Burd is full of suspense, tension, romance and intrigue. I really enjoyed the story with its characters and not so obvious relationships. Ashley Taylor was magical bringing the characters to life with her performance. One could feel the emotions and easily differentiate the character voices. I loved the premise of this book, where the main couple meets at an online poetry group. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Intrigue, suspense and romance

Maura Burd's Only for You has a little bit of everything. I was in the mood for a good romantic suspense and this delivered tenfold. Maddie Jackson meets Kyle Bruno from an online poetry site. From the minute they meet, something is suspect. I could feel it in the story with nothing being said! Is Maddie being watched? Is Kyle a good man? What is up with Maddie's co-worker? As I listened and got to know the different characters and their overlapping relationships, it became harder and harder to figure out why the tensions were so high. It's the best kind of suspense! Plus the budding relationship between Maddie and Kyle is sweet, sexy and full of passion. If you love stories with that slow build of intrigue, then this one is for you!

Narrated by the talented Ashley Taylor, it flows so easily. She has such a great array of voices, it's easy to hear who is speaking. I loved the way she is able to build up the suspense and keep it high til the end. It's a great listen!

This story shows what a small world we actually live in, even if it’s in a large city like Pittsburgh PA. Intrigue, violence, a dysfunctional family, a cheating spouse, a corrupt police officer, and a budding romance is what you will find in this volatile standalone written by Maura Burd and narrated by Ashley Taylor who injected life into this story.
