Publisher's Summary

On Tuesday, January 26, 2016, author LaVoy Finicum was killed by federal and/or state "authorities", after a three week occupation of the Malheur Wildlife Reserve in Burn, Oregon. Details of the shooting are in dispute and full details have not been released by the FBI or state officials. Eye-witnesses insist that LaVoy was murdered. His family is devastated at the loss of their beloved father, grandfather, and husband. As publishers, we here at Legends Library have decided to donate 100% of the proceeds from the sale of LaVoy's book to the support of his wife and family.

This book tells of one family's struggle to come together and survive in the midst of national crisis. A stirring, fast-paced novel about what matters most in the face of devastating end-times chaos. Filled with gripping action and relatable characters, listeners are drawn into the heart-rending dilemmas each member of the Bonham family faces. You may even find yourself stopping to ask, "What would I have done in that situation?"

LaVoy Finicum was a real life Northern Arizona Rancher who loved nothing more in life than God, freedom, and family. His spine tingling storytelling conveys in graphic detail just how fragile and precious freedom truly is and leaves his listeners with an increased desire to stand for freedom wherever possible.

Sobering.

Hard to say what "would" happen given an EMP strike rendering all electrical circuits useless. Though the story is fictional based, the elements woven together paint a pretty grave picture about human nature in survive or die scenarios.

This story has nothing to do with the land occupation by the Bundy's or the January 2016 FBI murder of LaVoy Finicum. It's about the authors ideals of unchanging truths told through stories through plausible experiences of the characters in the story.

Makes you think and ask "what would I do in these circumstances..."

Great narration. Great story. Buy it and see for yourself.

AWESOME book.

I have read many books in this genre. Very well thought out and written. I wish the author wasnt murdered by our government so we could have had more of his books.

basis for civilization

the author outlines historic choices:
a) theft and slavery of the productive
b) respect for life, liberty, property

life in societies devolving to choice (a) becomes ugly, short, and brutish. over and over. history rhymes. evil prevails when good men do nothing.

this book bears witness to the shame of seeing "the bright shining beacon on the hill" devolve: and suggests that, from time to time, with great sacrifice, good men can prevail.

Great example of an understanding of Natural Law

This Great man and author was murdered in cold blood for peacefully standing up for his and others rights to defend their property and grazing right. Don't be fooled by the "Official Story"

Wake Up!

I loved this novel. Mr. Finicum nailed it. This story conveys the message of liberty perfectly. RIP LaVoy.
The narrator captured LaVoy' s mannerisms and speech patterns well. Couldn't stop listening.
