When the paparazzi start sniffing around Misery and Kemper, claiming they are together, Kemper can’t let that happen, especially not right before the release of one of Misery’s biggest movies to date. Not wanting hearsay about their relationship to make the headlines with sensationalism, she decides she needs to throw the world at large off the scent. And she knows just who to enlist.
Crais Neumeyer, drummer of Strange Angels and frequent lover, is the one person Kemper knows can help her with their little problem without issue. Not that it will be a hardship. Crais is fun, discreet, and a team player, and they already have a comfortable enough relationship that no one would be the wiser.

Kemper has been secretly mentoring Misery Chastain in the ways of the Succubus. However, when you live in the spotlight, it is impossible to go unseen forever. When a reporter tells the world about the girls, Kemper knows she needs to protect her lover’s reputation. To do this, she recruits sometime lover, Crais, to publicly show up as her boyfriend. Crais has no problem with this, as he has a limited time left and spending it with Kemper sounds like a dream come true. Can they overcome the charge of his curse, or will this be one last ride for Crais?
If you love rock series with a hint of magic, this will hit the spot.

Love this! Worth the wait
I love the narrator’s voice! He makes the characters come alive. Loved the story and how incorporates characters from the series. What started out as a pretend relationship morphs into something deeper and changes the future.
